  1. I'm looking for 2-3 players to join my new region Solar Delta. My plan for this region is to build 4 solar farms. I will likely be contributing most of the resources for all for but if someone else wants to help that's cool too. The only rules are don't invite additional people and don't claim more than 2 cities at one time. Frequent players only please.

  3. Do I have to bulldoze the university or can I just leave it turned off?
  4. I turned off my university and my tech level went from barely in the third gear to 3/4 of the way in the third gear. WTF?
  5. High tech doesn't unlock it. I had a community college in the middle of my industrial area but I was only getting high tech industry so I bulldozed it. :-/
  6. I have a city of about 170K and a whopping 33 of them are attending the university. How can I get more people to attend?
  7. I left a small oil city running overnight while contributing resources to the great works site. I came back this morning and the game was paused and my city was broke. I gifted 400k from another city and started bulldozing rubble/abandoned buildings. When I was done my population was zero and a bunch of high density low wealth residential buildings were being constructed. The buildings have been complete for 5 sim days now and they all say "vacant residence: for sale" and my population is still at zero. How can I get people to start moving in again?

    I turned off the highschool that had 1600 students. I now have 35 attending the university. Any more ideas?

  15. I am constantly getting abandoned buildings due to "too much crime" yet there are only 3 crimes committed per day. Is there a way to lower crime even more to avoid this or is it just another bug?

    CIRCULAR CITIES!!! I've recently been experimenting with circular city designs and I love them, IDK if the terrain permits this as I am not familiar with that region but here's what I've made: This layout is good for a larger city of around 350-375K This one is a work in progress. It's going to be my region's showcase capital, a high-wealth tourist/gambling city. Being that it's named Figaro Forest I am going to fill in the areas between the small, outer circles with trees.

    Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about the constant rollbacks. Maxis is working on it and it should be resolved with a patch at some point. When you abandon a city it does not get destroyed, everything remains the way it was when you last played (buildings, roads, budget, etc.). Sewage is broken, no matter what your processing capacity is there will always be problems (in my experience). You could try putting an outflow pipe close to where the complaints are coming from to see if that resolves your issue.
  22. When I click on the billboard at the start screen I get a message saying "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" etc. How do I fix this?

    There is no need to be so careful about it. If I ever need money I just jack up taxes to 20% for 4-5 hours and no one leaves.
