  1. Yes, I do. I thought it might be to do with the LHD integration - though I did find it strange that the ramp would insist on facing the same way every time i tried to plop it. However, it's good to know it's being worked on. For the time being, I shall just use the other ramps. They look slightly untidy, but that's alright, I guess.
  2. I previously posted this in another thread. Then I reconsidered because I felt it bordered on thread-jacking. So now I have my own thread, I hope you can shed light on this issue. Forgive me if I appear a little out of the loop, but I've recently reinstalled SC4 after a year-long hiatus. I used to use the NAM all the time in my previous cities, but after such a long spell away from the game, I've become a little rusty at implimenting it. So I've been trying to create some sunken highways using the single-sided parallel ramps - particularly the one-way street option. However, I can only get the left-side of the highway to work properly as pictured below: I suppose my question is: did the NAM ever have separate entry/exit ramps for this type of intersection? Must I use the other ones which get the job done, but are considerably more ugly.. Thanks a lot.
  3. I'm just curious and don't you have to answer. Was the store you bought the used game sold out of new copies?.quote> The shop's bane was SimCity 4. I think they vowed never to sell it again when a dozen copies were traded in and never bought. =P So to answer your question: there were no new copies in the shop. And why should I have bought a new one? There would have been at least a £8 [$16] difference over the pre-owned game. If you were in my position, I'm sure you would have bought the cheaper one. I mean, what are the advantages of buying new over old? When you are standing in a shop, you aren't thinking down the line in this manner... When you are buying something - realistically - you aren't contemplating the patches it's going to require, surely! =D
  4. Buying the game secondhand does nothing to support the software company. They don't owe you the patch and we don't owe you the patch. For $15 at Amazon.com just get the Deluxe Edition.quote> So I BUY the game from a reputable local chain-store, and then have to BUY it AGAIN because the way I BOUGHT the game in the first place was not the correct way so as to give the company who made it more money. I'm glad you show concern for the profits of the computer software behemoth EA. The ones who r*ped many a great franchise - Command and Conquer = perfect example - but y'know that's not what I'm concerned about right now. Originally posted by: hawkpride147its not that we don't want to help you, its that protecting ourselves by not placing ourselves in a position where we might get in trouble with the software companies is more important.quote> I like this seemingly clever scapegoat. The "we do want to help you" creates a false affinity to soften the blow. Yet, I find it difficult to imagine how the software company can trace your identity to an extent where they could prosecute you. If they were to take such drastic measures, I have a perfectly legitimate copy of the game right here. They'd have no grounds to. But I digress. That's irrelevant. software companies are very protective of their productsquote> Yet without a Product Registration, I could update my game to the "PATCH Version 6.50". I don't see why EA have opted to protect one patch but not this one... Would someone please like to destroy this thread or something. I've seen enough.
  5. The file is 14.4 MB, but email services limit the size you can send to 10 MB. And to top that off, the file is an exe, which you can't send with email, even if it is zipped.quote> I was referring to free upload sites such as Megaupload. I've uploaded TV shows to people who missed the original broadcast before. I admit, I knew these people were 100% genuine, and I haven't really proven that I am - but I am willing to, of course. I actually can't afford to re-buy the game in any case... I understand it is a bother, but I hope this community can be trusting enough to lend a hand. Of course, if not, I'll simply have one boring looking city.
  6. Yes your problem is very clear. You bought a "Used" game where the previous owner had already used the codes to access the main site. Now seeing "You" made a mistake you wish us to fix it.quote> Aha! Yes, that's what 'community' is all about! How about the person that makes the 'mistake' of cooking whilst drunk or forgetting to check if the smoke alarm batteries are still working - does that mean we shouldn't save them in even of a fire? I'm all too used to the "better-than-thou" attitude against 2nd hand buyers. It makes no sense. Gamers are ferociously anti-social. This is a perfect example.
  7. I am not sure what you are wanting us to do. The file is too large to email, even if someone wanted to do that. Save yourself a headache, amazon.com sells the Deluxe version for 15 USD. quote> Now here's some useful information. This is the first time anybody has mentioned that the file is large. I thought it was around 30MB, which isn't really that large by today's standards actually. Uploads are nice... =P =D
  8. You have yourself to blame.Getting the patches your going to need the "Serial Numbers" then "Register" at the main site. Now nobody here in there right mind are going to give you there access to the main site.So go out and buy a "New" game.Goodluckquote> *Is sick into own scorn* Thanks for your contribution. Did you even read what I wrote?
  9. I'm at the end of my tether here. Every time I mention that I want the nightlighting patch but can't obtain it from the official site people instantly think that I have a pirated game. In fact, I'm certain that people missed this thread altogether due to that fact. I bought the game second-hand. When I was in the shop buying the game, the last thing that was on my mind was enquiring whether the previous owner had left log-on details so that I could obtain a patch I wasn't even aware about. I read this thread and got a little bit annoyed. It's all very well saying all that, but realistically I found out this information faaar to late to be able to do anything about it. I wasn't even aware of any Sim City 4 communities until 3 or 4 months after purchase. Meh! I even have the original box with a "When it's game over trade it & save at Gamestation" sticker on it! I'm so desperate, I'll post a picture of the box with me and today's bloody newspaper if you want proof! Sheesh! All I want is to see pretty lights in my city! Not a mouthful of unrealistic rubbish! =P =D Signed; a disgruntled 2nd-hand shopper. Kryters
  10. Can't Find It? Ask Here!

Hi there, I'm after some white sunken highway walls. They have planters at the top. This may be a figment of my imagination because they have disappeared without a trace from the STEX. =P =D Thanks.
  11. Summerside

Great! I don't suppose I could use this for a CJ sometime in the near future? =D 10/10
  12. Roundabout Subway Station

    Excellent! Top Class! 10/10
  13. THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT Amongst everyday Scots, one building has caused the most fuss this year. Taxpayers were outraged at it's spiralling costs; traditionalists were outraged by it's modern look. However, it is still acclaimed by hundreds of leading architects. Please feel free to voice your opinion on this building. Additional pictures can easily be found on any image search... These show the complexity of its modern design. Scots want this kind of thing (below) but is it feasable to build in this Victorian/Edwardian style these days. Certainly it is probably possible to build just about anything for
  14. Northern Scotland

Typical! A city border directly through Inverness! Grr! Nice to see the Caledonian Canal
  15. NDEX IntreGen Corporation gmax File
