Welcome! Welcome to Dalmatsča Rnov, officially the Principality of Dalmatsča Rnov (Dalmatsč: Princepatul idva Dalmatsča Rnov). Dalmatsča Rnov is a developed country in the Balkan region of Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Croatia and Bosnia - Herzegovina. The capital and largest city is Rnov. Dalmatsča Rnov is a constitutional monarchy, with Princep Adam Federič III as head of state. The official language is Dalmatsč (in the district of Ovičar co-official with Croatian). Dalmatsča Rnov is a member of the UNESCO, WTO, UN and the Council of Europe. Dalmatsča Rnov will get a special relationship with the European Union when neighbouring Croatia becomes a member of the EU in 2014 (this status would be somewhat like the current status of Monaco or San Marino). State symbol The double-headed eagle in black and gold (in my avatar) is the national symbol of Dalmatsča Rnov. We look forward to show you more interesting places but let's start with a short glimpse of the Princep Nikola III monument in our capital . We hope you like it! ps: can anyone tell me the difference between this forum and the new city journal section?

@Schulmanator: thanks! Hope I can show you more good stuff @vivapanda: I think night pictures can be charming too, glad you liked it! @SimCoug: just be patience for a full update @Fox: I understand, I have the same with this plaza although I am rather happy the way it turned out here (never knew it had such beautiful night-lighting) @Blakeway: thank you and uhm never been to London so what so Londonish about it? @Benedict: thanks! I hope it doesn't look to organized, I want to have the feeling of a organic growing city. Here a quick update with some random pictures. Don't have much time now for SC, I am going on holiday. I see you in a few weeks, who knows with some Spanish inspiration!

Trying to build a realistic city
petriknl replied to Harbin91's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I am using a lot of SFBT buildings, just wait and they will pop up everywhere When I am satisfied with a building I make it a monument so it cannot change. Hope that will help you too. -
Let's continue our evening tour in Rnov. You can see the western railway station (Isčircolodvor) here. It was build in 1878 and services as terminus for all trains from the south and west of the principality. The station is a major hub for the public transport in Rnov with a subway station and a tram station. Next to the station is the famous Samaritane shopping centre. We conclude this small tour on the biggest square of Rnov: the marketsquare (Graždvasar) in the old town of Rnov. The square is surrounded by luxury shops and offices as well as the city hall of Rnov. Above the square stands the Sint Victor Cathedral (Sv. Viktor Catedrala). And now it's time to get back to our hotel. Let's continue our tour tomorrow.

Mitterburg - the capital
petriknl commented on Langtan's City Journal Entry in Grafschaft Mitterburg
I like the way you created the feeling of a capital of a small state .. no tax free zones like San Marino and Andorra in the Grafschaft? -
I love your recreation of the Papal palace of Avignon .. I use it in the game but altering is not possible because the lot editor doesn't work on my laptop (directx failure)

Awesome mosaic! The sea dotted with small boats is so real.. I can almost hear sailors shout to other boats
