Hi,PJon - I see in Your WORK only ugly 3 lots with so long names ...
There are many words about simple LOT ... Can RMIP Command support You ?
The goal was to make the lots independent of RMIP. They require no dependencies and work alone or with RMIP. They will work with any airport addon that doesn't include airport enabled lots. I included as much information as I could to fully describe the lot, how it was made, and how it can be modified. It is, essentially, a short tutorial that will help you either modify this lot or create your own to meet your specific gaming preferences.
I think somebody forgot to change accounts before praising their own upload. This is actually quite a good upload, which you have no reason to do that. If people will like it then they'll like it. You don't need to put your own word in their to make it appear good it shows in the description and the mod itself. Doing that just makes you look 12. I mean seriously.
I have knows a number of very clever and intelligent 12 year olds, so thanks.
A proper title is needed and the fact that the textures don't match all other airport pieces is kind of a let down. Are those Maxis props?
The current title is just the file name. The lot is "Airport Enabled". They are Towers where they could be. They are three Separate lots. There are No Dependencies. What would you recommend for a "proper title"? I made no attempt to "match textures". RMIP is a separate plugin and my intent was to make the lots dependency independent. The lot is completely modifiable in Lot Editor. If you are using RMIP or another airport plugin, you are welcome to change the textures to match your preferred airport style. You can do it!!!

Wow, dude. Pure genius. Ingenious. Simplicity at it's finest. These are so awesome. They are just what I was looking for. Now I can use RMIP and have a functional airport without plopping the whole Maxis thing. Thanks. BTW, you should have said not to upgrade or expand the airport. If it's possible, you might consider creating new lots that let you expand it when the news window asks. You are the master....

Quick Description: Game enabled airport lots. Use alone or with RMIP. These three lots are meant to be used with airport add-ons to replace the existing Maxis airports. Each lot is game enabled with demand, usage, etc. "zPZ2x2_AirportEnabledLandingstripHanger.SC4Lot" replaces the small landing strip. "zPZ2x2_AirportEnabledMunicipalTower.SC4Lot" replaces the municipal airport strip. "zPZ4x6_AirportEnabledInternationalTower.SC4Lot" replaces the international airport landing strip. There are no dependencies. There is no installer. Just unzip and drop to the plug-in directory. These lots will be accessed by the airport menu icons, in replacement for the original lots. No new icons will appear though the icon may change it's look. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Details: Each lot uses only Maxis buildings, props, and textures. The textures DO NOT match RMIP or other airport plug-ins. You may edit these with LotEditor and change the textures at your pleasure. To ensure that these lots show up as replacements in the game menu, the file names have been prefixed with a "z". Whether this is necessary has not been tested. It can't hurt. The file names "*nxn*" represents the lot size. For unknown reasons, when the values of "2" and "2" were entered in SC4Tool, the lot ended up being 4 x 4. To synchronize the values and labels requires re-entering SC4Tool, changing the exemplar name, saving, opening up the lot in LotEditor, saving (to be extra sure it ends up in good shape for the game), and renaming the final file. It's not that hard, I'm just that lazy. Still, the international airport did save as 4 x 6. The smaller landing strip lot, "zPZ2x2_AirportEnabledLandingstripHanger.SC4Lot", has a single hanger as a building. It can be placed at the edge of the airport next to the road. In fact, it can place without any additional runways and the game will assume it is a fully functional air strip. The municipal airport lot, "zPZ2x2_AirportEnabledMunicipalTower.SC4Lot", consists of the municipal control tower with parking. Alone, it is a fully functional game municipal airport. It does expect a road. I suggest placing it in a visibly appropriate location near the landing strips and running a utility road. The municipal tower is rotationally symmetric so it looks good placed at any angle. The international airport lot, "zPZ4x6_AirportEnabledInternationalTower.SC4Lot", consists of the international control tower is not rotationally symmetric. It has a "front" so you might want to place it at the side of the tarmac that makes sense. The lot also contains a large hanger. The tower is a prop so the hanger was necessary as a building is required. ------------------------------------------------------- Special Thanks: Thanks go to TSM and the "TMS Maxis Intl. Airport RMIP re-lot (UDI ENABLED) 1.2" lot as this demonstrated that the concept, of a separate "UDI Enabled" lot was possible. Of course, SC4Tool made it possible for me to easily get what I wanted where the LotEditor and my personal expertise lacked. ------------------------------------------------------- Special Notes: The process was simple. After opening up the Maxis airport lots with LotEditor, I saved the lot. (Here is where TMS got me unstuck. The "saveas" button is disabled at this point. Using "save", doesn't save the lot back to the Maxis file. Rather, it saves it to a new file.) Now I could manipulate and delete any and all props that I chose. I might have started from scratch, I suppose, but it was just darned easier to begin with the functional airport lot. Making minor changes, saving and testing as I went, guaranteeing that I knew what didn't work. After considerable searching, I found the props that make the lots game enabled. These props are: "0x28270000 --- S1x1x1InvisAirportMunicipal --- Municipal Airport" "0x987a0000 --- S1x1x1InvisAirportlandingstrip --- Landing Strip" "0x28280000 --- S1x1x1InvisAirportInternational --- International Airport" Having deleted and placed all but the needed props and buildings, I saved the file and opened it with SC4Tool. This allowed me to change the exemplar name, "LotCongifPropertySize", and the "LotConfigPropertyDoConstruction". Having saved the re-sized lot, I opened it up in LotEditor to rearrange the buildings and place textures. Lastly, after saving the completed lot, I renamed the file to it's final version. -------------------------------------------------------- Final Words: There are many other ways that the lot might be constructed. A single tile with an invisible building would yield a simple airport enabling lot. Of course, RMIP textures would provide for something more aesthetically pleasing. There is no way to please everyone's aesthetic tastes. As such, I chose this simple configuration which requires no external dependencies. For others, just think of them as being the remnants of the airport before it was remodeled. If you like, try opening them up in the LotEditor and change the textures to something of your liking. You might begin by moving the fence in the international lot so that it lines up properly with the parking lot. Be sure to save a backup, just in case. As an additional exercise, you might want to use SC4Tool to change the Exemplar Name for the two smaller lots. PJon
  7. TSM Maxis Intl. Airport RMIP re-lot (UDI ENABLED)

I wanted to do this very thing but can't figure out how to save the existing MAXIS lot to an alternate file. Perhaps it's easy, perhaps not... I don't want to mess anything up. This makes things so much easier. Now I have a lot that I can open up and edit with LotEditor. I've already changed the taxiway tiles so I can extend them to add more runways. I've extended the existing runway, to the edge, so that I can add RMIP tiles. The possibilities are endless. Hopefully, I will settle on something generic that works for all my airports. Perhaps just a series of center runways. It would be nice to know... What exactly makes it a MAXIS recognized international airport?
  8. Error Code [#10863]

I get the same error. Simply, it is not my computer, my browser, or my network. I am using dial-up. That's not the problem, it is what it is. I have had this problem with different download programs. I have logged out and rebooted only to find the same message "You may not download any more files until your other downloads are complete". I don't use the browser download function as it stops at 2.5MB with an incomplete download. Rather, I use DLManager which is more resilient to errors. I get one download a day.
  9. RMIP 2 Small Airport Edition Vol 3

The links for Volume 1 and Volume 2 report a Board Message of "#10867] We could not find the file specified". Is it possible that someone took them down, not knowing that they were still dependencies?
  10. RHW-4 Compact Suspension Bridge

Nice, now all we need is an RWH-6, 8 and 10. My understanding is that traffic capacity is based on tile width so the wider RWHs hold more traffic than the original Maxis highway. It would be great to have matching high capacity bridges. I'd love to make it but I have enough trouble just creating a lot with a wall.
  11. Rail Yard and Spur Textures Mega Pack 1

I've downloaded it twice and get a corrupt file. Any ideas?
