Problem with importing a grayscale bmp for custom regions
ccb99 posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I have a problem when I try to import grayscale .bmp images to the Shift+Control+Alt+R box, I always find the file correctly, but when I click OK, the box disappears and nothing happens. Does anybody know what to do from here? EDIT: I followed this site: http://www.sc4ever.com/knowledge/showarticle.cfm?id=1103 -

Thank you very much, I downloaded GIMP and I found out that it was indeed an RGB file, I converted it to grayscale and it imported properly. Thank you for the help! -

This is another one of my BAT's. This one is a tall skyscraper. It is a high wealth (Should have made it medium wealth... oh well) commercial office. NOTE: This building does not have very good nightlighting. I was in a hurry in this. Comment and let me know what you think! NOTE: To download, extract the files into your plugins folder. Enjoy! -
Lol... This "Toys 'R' Us is HUGE compared to rality. I mean... I looked at the other buildings in the screenshot, and it looks like it's like 20x20 cells. If you added some different textures to the roof, and the walls to make it look like a real Toys 'R' Us, and maybe get it into a better scale. That would make it better. This particular building, I can't decide what it reminds me of... either like a 1600's video game arcade (I know there is no such thing... lol) or maybe a 2050 movie theater. As most of you people can see, this "Building" is way too big for what it is, and you, the creator, rileyskioo, have the power to make future ones better. x Lightbulb over head x maybe (This is what I did) you could search in Google Images something like "Wood Textures" or "Stone textures, then right click, Save file as, save it in gmax>maps and change the file type to a bitmap, and name it what you want. -ccb99
