  1. Beta Keys Anyone

Pictures or it didn't happen. search through my post history, I posted a screenshot of Origin account with the beta loaded in it. Of course I've blacked out all the juicy stuff like key #, name, etc.
  2. Beta Keys Anyone

I am in the beta, got a key however the beta isn't "active" yet. For those thinking it will be a real "beta" version I really hate to dash your hopes but it won't be, It will just be a marketing demo and MAYBE a stress test for Origin, the DRM, and cloudsaves. From what I was told the beta won't even come out until maybe a month before launch. The packaging, materials and shipping of the game will have already happened by the time the much fabled beta gets releassed into ya'lls hands.
  3. Saw this on the Facebook page, looks like the due date got pushed back to March. "Did you hear the news, Mayors? SimCity hits retail and online stores March 5, 2013 in North America. Got your copy yet?"
  4. May I ask who told you that? edit The forum software decided to double the question somehow, text removed Sorry, I can't say, its a supporting industry that goes along with the manufacture of boxes, cd duplication, etc. Here's a screenshot as proof (I know I don't have a lot of posts here, but I'm a huge simcity fan, was a big time player back in the SCURK days) but now I just lurk around. I had to redact some info on it, thus the black boxes.
  5. On the topic of the beta....I can pretty much confirm that it won't be a real beta in the sense of a typical software development cycle, The date I've been told has been somewhere 2-4 weeks before launch date. This means on one hand, it'll be an awesome demo and on the other hand it won't be a true beta, Your not going to see farms get added back in because of beta feedback. Now if there happens to be a huge issue like say the game runs terrible on AMD video cards, that will be addressed but that will be about it. I can't really say my source on this info but I do already have a beta key as do a good number of other people out there as well.
  6. MEI Garage over Avenue

Very nice! I've seen these style of parking garages before in large cities and always wanted one for Simcity
  7. TALAVERA Office Park

Very very nice! this will be great to fill in "holes" and create a denser look.
  8. Charleston,SC

I'll guess I'll contribute to this, I grew up and was raised in beaufort/charleston, SC area and great work on the roads and transportation and the map! I wish though that the buildings were realistic. There's actually a law in charleston that they can not be a building taller than the tallest church steeple in the city. SO Collgab is correct. Most buildings are 2-5 stories tall. The foundation that the city was built on is just not stable enough to build taller, plus its a historic zone, so no skyscrapers Oh and I love how you included Mt Pleasant. not many people remember about that place
  9. The Cobb 5th Avenue

love it love it LOVE it! Honestly, the only thing I need in my plugins folder is the folder COBB.
  10. The Cobb Shoreline

Your buildings always catch my eye Cobb, great work!
  11. Official BAT Request Thread

I've noticed something odd that is missing from the STEX, Atlanta buildings! Atlanta features some wonderful architecture, especially when it comes to skyscrapers. Here are some examples: http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta04.jpg http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta41.jpg http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta46.jpg http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta53.jpg http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta08.jpg http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta17.jpg http://www.skyscraperpicture.com/atlanta24.jpg Plus the new Syphony tower in midtown: http://www.atlantasymphonycenter.org/images/tower_300w.gif Thank you all you make these fantastic buildings, you guys are truely talented!
