I honestly do not believe Russia will crash and fall. It has too many resources and can become independent on the rest of the world. The fall of the Soviet Union did not damage Russia in the way some of the central Asian SSRs crumbled.

What comes to mind when you think about this city?
ROFLyoshi replied to Sleeping Politician's topic in Forum Games
The winter Olympics. Sydney, Australia. -
I haven't really bought any household appliances myself per se, but my car cost $2500. Do you catch public transport often

Two: as in to fall over, or the German words Fall, which means "accident". What time zone do you live in?

4522: I got my girlfriend addicted to Sim City. This could be interesting.

Why not 1000 Lakeside Avenue or the National Gallery of Victoria? These aren't government buildings in real life but they will suit the role here

Not sure. My girlfriend and I discuss it from time to time but can never agree on a hypothetical name... Do you have a Countryball avatar?

Biggest city you have with no subway/metro?
ROFLyoshi replied to WeBuiltThisCityOnSimCity's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
It depends what you define as a metro. My city has 4.2 million people and no "rapid transit" but it does have a commuter rail hybrid (works like a rapid transit in some areas) and a 30 line tram network. -
I like how there's a building in the middle of the loop. It's crazy how far infrastructure can be stretched. The West Gate Bridge in Melbourne is sitting at 500% capacity, with the signs pointing to that becoming higher.

Egad! A road that runs straight into the interchange like that? Completely destroys the point of an interchange.

It appears everyone is changing their avatars to Countryballs....
-
I mentioned in a video of mine that, 1, yes, I blame __B for the countryball trend, but, 2, I wouldn't be joining on the trend, either, so someone else is gonna have to be Philippinesball.
But what I didn't explain is that in order to represent myself best, I would need the Sinohispanofilipino flag: http://s887.photobucket.com/user/GDO29Anagram/media/filipino_chinese_spanish_flag_with_celestia_cutiemark-1.png.html

Country balls? Maybe I'd do that if I actually liked my country's flag! (and if I wasn't already happy with my avatar)

anyone know how to build this? (sunken light rail between one ways)
ROFLyoshi replied to nas786's topic in SC4 Showcase
They to me look like lots placed on what is actually level ground. As for what they are, I'm not 100% sure. Maybe ask the creator of the video? -
I love it when people make diagonal interchanges, and this one is no exception! Great job!

Has it been announced what alignment this will follow? Metro Rail Tunnel/Metro One/Metro Rail Capacity Project follows the original plan of tunnelling from South Kensington to South Yarra via Arden, Parkville, CBD North, CBD South and Domain. It would link the Dandenong and Sunbury Lines together and would allow Frankston and/or Sandringham trains to utilise the Caulfield Loop. Why call it CBD North and South Seems to overcomplicate the thing.

Haha, you kinda did (don't worry I have moved it for you, you should get more interest now). To me, I wasn't sure if they were incompatible, as SPAM changes farms whereas CAM changes growth stages. However I do know that there is an optional traffic mod in SPAM that is most definitely INCOMPATIBLE with the NAM.

Fixed. Also, my idea was to link it up to the "corner" on the Melbourne Metro. Hahaha, but seriously it was only proposed in the 1969 plan... I do recall a minister a while back saying that "just because a road or rail appears in the Melway, doesn't mean it will necessarily be built."
-
...although it's not really a subway per second, rather underground rail. We have a hybrid rapid transir/commuter rail. KonstantinII, I love that last pic!

Thank God. Well the Andrews Labor government was elected on the promise of scrapping this road. Firstly, I travel on the Eastern Freeway to Bullen Rd every morning to get to university. Traffic is already heavy to to Doncaster Rd exit. Yes I understand that it is intending to remove traffic bottlenecks, but I fear that the bottlenecks will manifest in a much worse fashion at the CityLink exit. Another thing that irks me is that the project was toted as an alternate Westgate crossing. The issue with this is that they will not start the Western section until the Eastern section us finished, meaning that the traffic will still need to take the Bolte/Westgate to get across, putting even more traffic on. Finally, the Hoddle St flyover will destroy the reservation for the Doncaster Railway Line. Manningham council currently sits as the only city council in Melbourne without a tram or train. Let's fix that, as they've been waiting 45 years.

I am rather confused by your question and don't know how to answer. Do you own a vinyl record player?
