im used to seeing freeways with a huge grass median (i live in sydeny) most freeways have a nie 1 - 3lane wide grass median and maybe with railings. Most freeways are 2 lanes (and arent conjested like US one ) we even have a intercity freeway connecting sydney , canberra and melebourne somewhat 850km long and is most grass mdeian and 2 lanes (3 in busier areas). Even the newest freeways are 2 lanes, and tunnels are 2lanes, i dont think the government is thinking about upgrading the freeways for at least for another decade! they seem to only care about the current construction of the last 40km section of the sydney orbital... becuase of this orbital we dont have any freeway interchanges (freaky!) but we are going to have 2 new ones soon when the last section of the orbital is finished , but it will have grass median too.. Also there isnt much elevated freeways, mostly ground, if not underground freeway. the governemnt seems to dislike elevated freeways for some reason and digs tunnels instead ill try to post a pic of an average sydney freeway pic soon.

can u put street lights on them? i think it wont look realistic if you have a street light with power coming from the ground when the power lines are actully not underground!

nice... but in syndey aust our expressways are differnt, motorways are the ones when you have to PAY a toll and freeways are ones which you dont pay a toll (weird) , parkways are short expressways with only 1 exit and entry, and we only have 1 expressway with a name ending with expressway and it is only 4km long.... (i dunno how to change it to miles so try to figure it out urself) and we have hardly ever seen a elevated expressway! (around 99% all ground)

nah not really, it's like the 2 expwys just merge into 1 larger exprwy (bradfrield highway 8 lines) i dont see any roads connecting between cahill expressway & western distubutor

i live in sydney australia and we NEVER see interchanges between 2 expressways expressways are empty and we only have one very very very long circclar expwy(incomplete) and 4 going to other cities (they dont interchange in any way) anyway we have a highway with about 10-15 lanes right after u cross the harbour bridge.
