If you need to understand CiM2 go to this PAGE. It's been created by a user and it is a perfect guide. PS: the latest update of the game introduces mouse edge scrolling, so, navigating with WASD is still available but you can activate edge scroilling instead.

Greater Terran - A SimCity (2013) Journal By Haljackey
vonhaubitz commented on Haljackey's City Journal Entry in Greater Terran
After seeing the video, I thank God that I have learnt about the limited tile size before release, which made me cancel my pre-order. Because the always on issues would have costed the last bit of my patience. Such as cr...p.... -
Discussion about City Tile Size

I think they either have to keep the release date and that's why they release something half way completed or they just had based the game on a perfectly wrong concept and now are trying to find excuses why the tile size is small like a nickel.- 1,284 Replies

Discussion about City Tile Size
vonhaubitz replied to alex macnamara's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Actually, that's not my option, it's their option. For me there's no release, because the limitations are unacceptable. But that's also ok, if Glassbox is such a leap forward, maybe the game will catch up somewhen in the future. I just hope they somehow will be successful and that they will invest in a city simulator that justifies it's name. If not - bad luck.- 1,284 Replies

They should just call it "SimVillage" and in 10 - 15 years when every single PC in the world can run big size maps with the revolutionary Glassbox engine, they can release SimCity 2013.- 1,284 Replies

Will you buy Simcity 2013?
vonhaubitz replied to MTLT_17's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
When I looked at the videos of the Beta testers on youtube, I thought that all the limitations were due to the Beta version (very small cities, no underground, only flat land, etc). But now I find out that people at EA/Maxis are serious about this Android like small edition of a city-like simulation. Wasn't there an epic fail like CitiesXL when developers concentrated on the wrong aspects of a city simulator? With all the limitations in place, I have serious doubts that the new SimCity will ever meet my expectations, so, I cancelled the pre-order immediately and might check back in a year or more. Maybe, something will develop over time.... -

Good that I have read this just in time. I am going to cancel my pre-order immediately. 2x2 km is a clear deal breaker for me..... And yes, this is pretty disappointing - I was excited about the fact that SimCity would be back on the scene. I don't care about my dad's PC, the one who likes to play games for sure has a capable PC to run significant bigger cities.- 1,284 Replies

Very Very True...but I wish CIM had bullet trains which connect from cities to cities like Transport Tycoon.... Also I wish there were more vehicle options... there are not many kinds of vehicles... so boring... also the capacity of vehicles are some what from 2x to 6x smaller than the actual amount. Well, but I still love the game haha. MORE MAPS PLEASE!! Well at the moment there are no bullet trains, that's true, but the vehicles can be modded very easily. There are several to download, but I even did it myself. I changed the capacity to make it more realistic and I even introduced new combinations of vehicles. The fanpages would tell you how to mod them and would offer mods to change capacity without doing it yourself. And there are constantly new ones coming up. Some from the publishers and some from modders. So, I am quite satisfied. Maps can be downloaded from two major fanpages - I am not sure if I am allowed to post them here, but they can be found easily via google.

To be honest since the release of CiM I am not interested in CXL anymore, as CiM has all the features I was looking for and with simple modding you can influence everything and even can build/construct the city in-game. I liked CXL in the beginning but city gaming includes infrastructure from my point of view, so, also tram, bus, train, underground. CiM has it all.

The observations I had: Actually, I wanted to buy electricity and had about 7.000 bugs income per month (?). Then I bought 2 tokens electricity and when accepting the order and closing the trading window, I suddenly had 28.000 bugs income per month. Well then I needed some fuel, opened the trading window and ordered - or tried to order 3 units. I received the message that I didn't have enough tokens, thus, my trade with electricity was reduced by 2 tokens. So, I reverted the purchase of fuel to 0 and my purchase of electricity back to 2. After closing the trading window I suddenly had only 15.000 income per month, although the purchase units were the same before trying to buy fuel. But with my first purchase of electricity I had 4 times more income, then suddenly after trying to buy fuel and reverting it to how it was before, I lost 13.000 of my monthly income.

Interchanges between different bus lines and subway lines
vonhaubitz replied to bananasims's topic in Cities XXL
You have to analyse the destinations that your inhabitants have. If the metro fails to serve those needs, it won't be used. Even if you feed it with connecting bus lines... -
I wouldn't touch the trading screen neither if I would get 750k :-)

Well maybe I just don't get it, but trading with Omnicorp was somehow strange. Actually, I wanted to buy electricity and had about 7.000 bugs income per month (?). Sounds like a bug or that trading with Omnicorp doesn't follow logic ways. Or the prices of Omnicorp spike within a few seconds. Could be and it would be acceptable. But with my first purchase of electricity I had 4 times more income, then suddenly after trying to buy fuel and reverting it to how it was before, I lost 13.000 of my monthly income. Can anyone explain what the logic behind this trading system really is? Or is it bugggggy?

what's the use of it? They seem to be on the verge of bankruptcy as it looks like that they have consequently produced a loss over the past few years. and now it is very likely that the banks will not finance them anymore. So, if there will be a buyer, you can contact them, but MC seems to have other problems to solve right now than taking your nice little advice how to develop the game any further
