  1. Show us Your Interchanges!

That looks really realistic Bipin. I wonder if you could elaborate for us how you did that?
  2. The Valley of the Shadow of Uncertainty

Qorten: Thanks for the great idea, but I think vineyards wouldn't quite fit with this region, nor in that location. It is much too close to the center for there to be farms. Epiclastorm: Indeed, It does seem as if that valley would drain into the river. I think a parkland there would be overkill, however, as most of the riverbanks are already parkland, and the southern bluff there will be kept parkland for the most part. Schulmanator: Commercial development would be nice, but again, parkland in the valley i think would be overkill. Space on the valley floor is very limited, so high efficiency must be considered. 1000000000000: I think I will go for residential neighborhoods with some industrial mixed in. Indeed some of the smaller valleys to the north and south will have farms. skyscraper241: Thank you! Houston_Fan: Some type of New Urban Development would be interesting. Or maybe some kind of condo development.
  3. Thank you everyone for the comments! I've had a bit of writer's block tonight: I cannot decide what to d owith the yellow outlined valley below... I'm leaning toward mixed use industrial/ residential and slight commercial like the orange outlined area, but I want to know what you guys think. This is also a peek at the new neighborhood on the heights there. Your feedback is super important guys!
  4. The Laughing Moose Showcase

Hey Everyone. Thanks for your comments! Unfortunately that valley is still mostly empty, but I have a road network set up, and am leaning towards a primarily residential setup, with pockets of parks and industry. Now, I've been playing with the DBE and have made this: It is in the borough of Ipswitch, located in the eastern part of Sunderland City. Boroughs will be areas of either townships or cities that have a significant town center or are partially autonomous. Boroughs in cities are not autonomous, but have a special place on city council next to other neighborhoods, but those in townships are mostly independent. They are similar to a CDP or Census Designated Place, but with more government recognition. Thanks for stopping by!

Well, a couple times I had to talk to the teacher, and people gasped that "HE TALKED!"

Otherwise it was quite tame. But I was the only one at my school so it felt a little pointless.

  6. Sandalwood County

Exciting stuff here! The new town hall and potential park look great. And I can't wait to see the new school. And I think you can totally pull off the grid without being repetitive. Can't wait to see more!
  7. Sandalwood County

really great looking... the textures just look really awesome... as far as hiding lines and such. And I see the beginning of a streetgrid system developing nicely
  8. So.... I bricked my Mac. I'll be working on getting that working this weekend. Don't worry! No sc4 files were hurt, I have a pc for that.

  16. Sunderland - First Look

111222333444- Yes it is, but I love the layout of the map, but I'm smoothing areas out as I go, but the huge bluffs and cliffs will remain. packersfan- Thanks, Its Binghamton from the STEX and Its one of my favorites because of the rivers and bluffs, even though it is incredibly rough. NMUSpidey- Thanks! It will be much like New York City or other world class cities, but on a smaller level. That is, some parts will be beautiful, some spots, notsomuch.
  17. Sunderland - First Look

Thank you everyone for your comments! They really do mean a lot! Now, I know what you must be thinking "Oh boy, here we go again!" But I warned you about how I get bored with cities. And Alcesia just was stuck. It was going nowhere. But Thanks for your support, everyone! Now, on to Sunderland. Supersecretregionviewtime! Thanks for stopping by! Let's hope Sunderland goes better than Alcesia!
  18. The Laughing Moose Showcase

Hey everyone! Quick update on the work i got done on this long weekend, besides my Anatomy paper... First, Replies! Zulu: Thanks... I just feel like Alcesia was a letdown because I wanted to do a whole big thing, but it just didn't happen... Ohwell :/ Benedict: Thanks! I have a slightly closer view today! 10000000000000: Thanks! Sunderland is looking a bit more complete now, still not 100% though, But I thought I should show you guys a pic anyway. This is Lincoln Heights, a neighborhood in the northeast part of Sunderland City. And this is an updated, closer region view. Maybe you can make some more stuff out from this level. Progress is slow going at this point, and I can't promise a timeline as of yet, but the Financial center is probably at 90% and Downtown is like 85%, so hopefully soon! Thanks for stopping by!
