Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
randolpj replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
You were exactly right, mrtnrln. Turns out I had the Jun 09 NAM installed, but hadn't downloaded NAM Essentials. I installed it and voila, that piece is working correctly. Thanks a bunch.- 3,919 Replies

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem working with RHW-4 exit ramp Style B. I cannot rotate the piece to face in a westerly direction nowhere in one particlar city. It seems to work in another city just fine however. Has this happened to anyone else?- 3,919 Replies

I looked to see if someone else hasn't mentioned this already so I could credit them and I didn't see it, but either way.. If you're running Windows 7 64 and I guess maybe Vista 64, you need to use this modified line instead: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -l:english -Introff -CustomResolution:enabled -r1440x900x32 Only difference is the (x86) in the program files folder name.

Terrain Generator!! Oh where aew you.

Thanks, BIWDC for that info, I'm going to try the stuff in your sig. I did finally figure out (again) how to use the greyscale elevation images and import them. I imported a big one last night that didn't include a config.bmp, so I figured out using proportions how big to make one, and it worked! The funny thing is I just looked at my join date on the left side of my message on this thread and found out I've been a member since 2003. I guess I registered way back then with the same e-mail and forgot. Matter of fact I had quit playing the game altogether until about a month ago. And somehow I vaguely remember doing this same greyscale import back then as well. It's great to find out how cool this game is once again with all this stuff that's available. -
Terrain Generator!! Oh where aew you.

So, I just went through this thread and I've figured out I've been wasting my time for the past two days trying to register my copy of SC4 Deluxe, so that I can use their terrain generator, is this true? Story: A couple of weeks or so ago I registered here to download some of the great tools you guys have made (I've been playing SC4 off and on for 6+ years and I had no idea all of this existed), and I started looking at some of the maps and found a couple I wanted to try. I found out they were in a format that can only be read as far as I know with SC4 Terraformer and SC4Mapper. After trying a couple of hours to install and use either of these I found out neither program reliably works on Windows 7. So I found out about the Terrain Generator at the "official" web site and it said I have to register my product to use any of the tools. I couldn't register my software because the system kept saying the serial number has already been used, which I found to be a common problem. I contacted customer service via their live chat. The first time they told me the serial number is unused and to try again. No luck. Second time they told me I had to register at EA.com, before I could register my serial number. The thing was that I had already registered at EA.com just to use their online customer service chat! Anyway, if you try to register SimCity at EA.com, you have to go to another legacy website to try it because SC4 is not on their game list. When you go to the legacy website and try to register you get a "server error" which tells me the thing is probably permanently offline. So, all in all, I have learned that SimCity and all of it's related web content is basically orphaned, and this means as far as the custom maps are concerned, "I can't get there from here". Is this true, or is there something else I can try?
