I agree, it looks nice! But uploading a file before we know what we need to use it seems pointless. If you can't get the dependency list until tonight, then none of us can really download and use it until tonight anyway. You just give yourself a chance to get bumped down a few notches and reduce your exposure.

night lights on downloaded buildings
pkremer replied to tigerplayer91's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
No, that is an executable file that will automatically install itself to the right place. Just download the file and double click on it, and it will update and you'll be done! As far as updates, you think the new buildings are amazing? Just wait until you find out about some of the modifications. The NAM mod adds all kinds of new transport tiles, and the CAM mod? It's intense, but having played it for a while now, I wouldn't go back. 6 new stages of buildings and improved use of every transport network. -
night lights on downloaded buildings

I just recently had this same problem. Follow these steps in THIS order. Mixing 2 and 3 around will cause problems. 1) Verify that you have the Rush Hour expansion pack or SimCity 4 Deluxe. I don't think the night lights will work with the vanilla version of SC4. If for some reason you don't have it, get it. It's worth it. 2) Make sure that you have applied the necessary update to the Rush Hour expansion pack from the EA Website (http://simcity.ea.com/update/index.php). It's possible you have done this already, but make sure. 3) Next, you need to install the BAT update from the EA website. (http://simcity.ea.com/exchange/lots/) Look at the second red line that says "Note:" It's about 14.4 MB. Once you have followed those steps, open up the game and the night lights should light right up! Let me know what happens! PS - My problem was half solved by following these steps. Some lights worked, others did not. I found out that my video chipset was at fault. I only had 32 MB of shared video memory on my mainboard. I installed a new Geforce AGP card with 256 MB of video memory and this is what actually resolved the issue for me. If you follow those 3 steps, and you are still having trouble, you may want to look at a different video card with better acceleration and memory. I got my card for only $40. I'm not trying to sell you a card, hehe, but being that I was having trouble with the night lights, and then I upgraded my equipment and they all lit up the second I opened the game, it's something to consider, especially if the above 3 steps don't work. If your equipment is correct, however, the above 3 steps WILL work.
