Absolutely... BREAKING NEWS!! The Junta resigns!!!
edmonton_stinks commented on balkair's City Journal Entry in The Shalman Commonwealth [COFR Chancellor]
Wow, an uprising! Great job illustrating the protests, and I really like the university buildings! -
I like it!...but I don't like the brightly coloured Maxis condos next to the Gascooker houses. However it is a briliiant start!

spa: I don't quite understand what you mean with the lights. I'll just wait for the tutorial. So obviously I have quite a lot to figure out in terms of nightlights, but for now here's a red house. It has bricks around the front door to avoid being boring...this colour variation is one I see on the bus every morning. Sorry I've been so short on updates...I'll try to make more colour variations, then make more houses and apply the various colours. Then I'll have a set of a few houses with multiple colours that should help to contribute to the game rather unobtrusively, which is my goal at the moment. Thanks!

Love the bright colours. For being next to a rail yard, those condos are really nice!
-
Well I'm no expert but it seems to me it would be really hard to tell until the building is finished. However, your columns seem to be obstructing the windows, I would maybe change that.

The more colour variations, the better. It really helps with building variation. If you make six similar buildings available in six colours, it's almost like you have 36 buildings which really helps to avoid the repetition problem man has yearned to solve since the dawn of SC4. I agree that green is the best one. The other two might need just a little bit of work, but they look pretty close.

Book 1, Montereau: Chapter V

Amazing lots and ped malls! Seems like a fantastic walking city. -
Yeah, Canadian provinces all have bans of some kind, and most (if not all) major cities in Canada have banned smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and clubs, and when you go to one you don't see anybody smoking because it's just accepted that you don't do it. There are tons of people who smoke outside, because they choose to smoke and do so in a place where they won't bother the non-smokers. Edit: Argh! What happened to my blue avatar?

Amazing region view. Where did you get the strip mall from image 14?- 1,188 Replies

Great midrise areas! The one thing I would change are the mansions, they seem really out of place. The photoshopping is great!
-
Great tower selection in the business district. There's nothing worse than endless skyscraper repetition, and you definitely don't have anything like that.

Wow, Escambia's sports teams are cleaning up. -
Wow, your region is so vast. I've never seen skyscraper sprawl like that anywhere but the GTR.

Interesting area, though the 6459978 towers are generally found in older neighbourhoods. -

Wow, the transition is abrupt. Great contrasts! -
Most BATers are busy with their own projects. I suggest you visit the Omnibus, which has some great BAT tutorials. The most direct way to get what you want is to make it yourself.

It's a lot better with windows. I suggest posting the house on BAT-Open Discussion and getting some feeback from there. -
Wow, amazing update! The towers in the business district aren't too repetitive and well chosen, and the mansiony neighbourhood is very cohesive. I like how it's all R$$$ in one place as opposed to mansions next to rickety shacks or even R$$ houses. That said, the R$$ neighbourhood is also great.

That is a very nice highway, and the town bearing its name is quite well done as well! I really like the shopping centre.

I guess Edmonton isn't that bad, I think they're on the fringe of the playoffs right now though I still don't like them. Take your time update-wise, if they're all as good as this then it's definitely worth the wait! -

Just two ships that pass in the night... -
Great scenery though I'm not crazy about the bright green font. Was that a St. Patrick's Day special?
-
Wow, I can't believe I just discovered this. Seeing your gameplay style really makes me want to check out your next CJ. I really hate the lack of cohesiveness, too. That's why I BAT, hopefully I can make enough buildings of one particular style to add some variation while at the same time giving areas their own feel.

Great work creating the essential small town downtown! The JBSimio and Spa buildings really go well together. And GreekMan, there is no way people could commute from Spruce Grove to Calgary (assuming this Spruce Grove is like the real life one) unless the province went ahead with that high-speed rail project.

Your CBD mosaic is very impressive. Great variation of towers!
