Well here is a picture of my urban megagiant, Parasanti. As I've mentioned, no cheating was involved, meaning no hacking, using plop buildings, using trainers, nothing. It is purely a natural city and one of the few to be built this way. 5.3 million residents - hard to beat: You can download the city at www.simcitypages.com where most of my work is. More information can be found at www.sc3000.com/forum. The city actually has a full set of educational, health, recreational, and safety facilities, with no overcrowding. Without the facilities, tests have proven that the city can reach a maximum residential population of 5.7 million, with a total population of 8.8 million. As of now, I am in the process of creating an even larger city, one that will break 6 million residents by the end of March 2009 - the Holy Grail to the absolute max. It'll take me some time to build. It'll be called Magnasanti Hopefully it will truly be unbeatable once complete.

Anyone here still play SC3K? If so, what's the largest city you've built without cheating? Personally, I got 5.3 million residents, 8 million in total size ;-)

The Capital of the World!

I know!! What about Germania??? Oh wait that city doesn't even exist lol. I do agree however that a world capital should be placed on a neutral zone. I say we construct a world capital from ground up with the collaboration of ALL countries of the world and should be built in a place where it is NOT a country, like say Antarctica. THIS is my vision for a WORLD CAPITAL : Wait...that's something else....nevermind... -
On SimCity 4: 500'000, no cheats, no mods, on a 256x256 map. On SimCity 3000: 5.7 million, no cheats, no plop buildings, no trainers, no hacks, nothing. The city is clean. Just naturally built. The name of the city is Parasanti.

Hello, can someone please advise how I can transform all my dirty industry into 100% high tech industry, I really hate it!!! Thank you in advance. PS. Sorry if there is already a thread on this

It's not finished, yet. When I have completed it, I will provide a link for download ;p

I havent been here for a while, and coming back, i'm still inspired by the tremendous work put into this thing... especially with Andisart's work on the base of the tower - it is simply astounding . I've moved on from SC3KU BAP since the last time I posted, and went on to SC3URK-ing... although I dont have fancy softwares like 3dsmax I have been using googlesketchup... And so this is my version of the Burj Dubai for SimCity 3000 Unlimited: My version of the base however sucks in comparison to Andisarts so I might work on that too ;D

Your question raises very interesting philosophical and technical debates. Firstly, let us consider building a city, does it need to be beautiful? Cities are built to work, to serve and satisfy the function and purpose of its inhabitants and the desires of the inhabitants themselves, not necessarily to be built over the decisions of aesthetic appeal in the eyes of a singular viewpoint. In my opinion, the city that works is itself a beautiful mastery. Secondly, what defines a beautiful city? In all reality, this depends on the opinions of people, so what may appear beautiful to you may not necessarily be beautiful to another person. So ask yousrelf, what is truly important, is it only to satisfy oneself based on aesthetic qualities of the city or is it really about, satisfying the majority of the whole, based on function, purpose, and reason? I believe these are the sorts of questions the programmers are trying raise awareness amongst interested gamers, to give them insight and understanding into the true art of city planning. Thanks for your time. - Omnika
