The medium citys all border the large city. I am only trying to draw 6000 from each city. They each produce 12,000 and use less than 3000. I have done this numerous times in the past, but this one is giving me trouble. I should also mention that this is a new region and the large city was completely built with 0 population prior to running the game. The 8 border citys are to support the large with power, garbage, and dirty industry.

I am running a large city with 8 medium citys supplying power. For some reason I can not purchase enough power for my large city. I am generating 12,000 wts in each of the medium citys and using less than 3,000 in each. I have over 5,000,000 in cash in the large city and adaquate power connections. I can purchace in excess of 9,000 wts from any individual city, but by the time I get to the 5th in the list the game limits how much I can buy. The 6th and 7th city are limited to 1,000 wts. If I start at the bottom of the list it's the same in reverse. I have cancelled all power deals and reinitiated them with the same results. The game is limiting my ability to purchase power and at a level below my need thereby limiting my growth. What am I missing? Any suggestions would be welcome. thanks

Good thread, Two tricks that I like to save on the ol budget; 1 Set up a neighbor city, with a bit of medium density industry, add a coal power plant, set the slider to about $150 for the industry. Then plop down a waste to energy plant and set the slider to 0. this will give you free garbage disposal for both citys. 2 When starting to supply water to a city I use only water towers until I have 6. The cost per month for 1 pump is $350, the cost to run 7 towers. The sims don't need 20.000 units of water right away, this will save you a few simolions as you get you city off the ground.

I recently downloaded a city and the game gave me a pop up that told me the following plugin packs were needed; 823442503, 1874243150,1345394465. My question is how do I find out what packs these numbers refer to so I can find them? Searching the numbers reveals nothing.
