Clearing my cookies has done nothing to solve the problem. Only did what I expected it to do, require me to log into everything again. -

I still can't access anything in the STEX. Everything in the middle is unclickable, aka, all the downloads. I can see them, but I can't access them. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and using Firefox 3.6.3 -

I'm still experiencing a problem with the STEX. Everything down the middle is unclickable. Luckily, I can browse the STEX with Chrome, so I'm not completely cut off. I'm using Firefox 3.5.6 -

I just want to say that Windows 7 is far better then Windows Vista. But I upgraded to Firefox 5.2.3, and I'm still having the problem with the STEX. T Wrecks, what's your OS? -

Yes, I believe that's the problem I'm having too. Though I'm not using Opera. I'm currently using Firefox 3.5.2. I'm also using Windows 7, if that changes anything. Oh, and I have a 64bit system. -

I'm fairly sure this has been reported, but in the ST Exchange, as soon as the bottom bar shows up, I can't click anything in the center (aka, the items in the STExchange). If this has been reported already, don't kill me!! -
Solution to the left/right driving issue

I've made an installer that patches your copy of SimCity 4. Just download, run, and you've got cars running on the right side of the road. This works with both x86 (32bit) and x64 (64bit) computers. www.parnasas.com/BenRK_Games/SC4_RSC.exe -
Yeah, you got it backwards. Running it in software mode speeds it up to how fast I'd think it should go, and doesn't look bad at all. Thanks for the help. As for me picking ATI, I picked it cause I was on a budget and wanted more bang for the buck. No question that their cards are more powerfull, but budget ruled the outcome of my computer, and I think I did VERY well for under $400. ;-)

Hey, I recently got a new, game worthy computer. While my older computer could play Sim City 4 just fine, it seems that my new computer is having a harder time with it then my old computer was, even though it's better then it in every way. Is there any way to fix this, or is this just me? Old computer specs: 2.2GHz P4 40gig HD 1gig RAM nVidia GeForce 5500 256MB VRAM New computer specs: 2.7 GHZ AMD Athlon X2 (dual core) 500gig HD 4gig RAM ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4

Heh. I found my original script for this. I'm going to have to do some serious re-thinking of the later chapters! Well, once I get that done, I'll get chapter 5 out of the way. Now, where were all my resources?

Well, after a long... well, not really doing anything, I think I may pick up New Landings again. However, The Sims has since stopped working on my computer, so I can't get people shots, unless I get The Sims 2, but such is not likely, as my computer sucks. I could just start over with a new story. Any thoughts/suggestions on the matter?

Thank you for your replies, and sorry for such slow updates. I might be able to get chapter 5 in tomorrow, but no guaranties, as I have other, unrelated projects that are nearing their dead line (and said projects are what kept me from updating sooner). Again, thanks for the comments.

Thank you, thank you. I would like suggestions on how to improve the story. Not so much the story line, but my writing style. I haven't got the best comments in that department (elsewhere in this great big internet of ours), and yet, no one can seem to tell me how to improve it.

Chapter 4, Consequence I was part of a search party. What we were searching for, I didn’t know at first. All they did was tell me to get them if I found anything. The group searched for hours as the helicopter hovered above us. The search lasted well into the night until we were called back into the helicopter. I asked what we were searching for again, and the leader told me. We were looking for the remains of the missile that had hit the island. They told me that they first thought it was the island planning to strike back, but they soon figured that it was either a deliberate attack or a misfire. We started back for the town, discussing a different search pattern that we would use tomorrow. After a few minutes of conversation about if remains of the missile even existed, the pilot informed us of something that made my stomach fall. The town was under attack. But who was attacking? The leader told the pilot to return to the base. As we got closer to the town, cannon shots could be heard. Then, a loud shot could be heard. We were hit. Many of us were thrown from our seats, some of us the seats went with us. I couldn’t tell what was going on, but as soon as it began, it ended in a crash. I must have been knocked out once the helicopter crashed, because the next thing I knew, I was on the ground, badly hurt. I knew I wasn’t far from town, I could see some of the farm land and the cannon shots were not to quiet. I got up as best as I could, but almost fell down right away. I had a broken leg and a broken collar bone. In pain, I started back for town as best as I could. It was slow, and I didn’t get far from the crash site when I was approached by several dark figures. (--Some where in the mountains of Timber--) Hello. My team and I had escaped from the capitol shortly after the first missiles hit, but we kept working for the capitol as best as we could. Oh, I’m sorry, I’m afraid I never introduced my self. My name is Thomas Gardner. I am a scientist working the best I can for Timber, or at least what’s left of it. Only a few of us made it to this place. It was old, and everything here was out of date, but it protected us from the war and the radiation. I can remember the day we evacuated too well. Metro City had been under attack shortly after I got to work that morning and we had begun to evacuate. It was shortly after we reached the mountains that the city was nuked. How many people were still there when it hit? I try not to think about it. Even once we got to this place, the smoke from the nuke and the fires could still be seen. How many had got out? How many were still alive? To this day, I still don’t know. We survived. That’s all I knew about the war. Who was winning? Was the war over? We had no way of finding out. All we could do was what we used to do, and that was research. And that’s what I was doing, until I got an unusual reading from the weather instruments. It was snowing. It’s rare for it to snow during the summer, even rarer for it to do so in warm regions. But that’s what it was doing. I feared the worst, and after looking at the weather data for the past few months of the area and other areas with similar installations, my fears were confirmed. Nuclear winter has begun. To be continued...
