Oh this is awesome! Great idea with the FMA reference. You got everything (down to Ed's annoyance with people commenting on his stature). I like your picture with the 747 in mid flight (the first pic). Must've taken some skillful image editing.

Very nice downtown. Obviously you didn't scrimp on the custom content though your downtown could use some more traffic (visually, that is). You run me over with the hilly suburbs again. I like the new red houses.

In the name of all that's holy! People, stop taking those sarcasm pills!!! This has got to be the... pretty much... coz' of the... nevermind.

There are no words... EDIT: Oh no. Please tell me those green buildings aren't Monopoly houses...

* AUTHOR'S NOTES * Ok, so I did the unthinkable and started a new city journal based on SimCity Societies on a site that basically tears this game to shreds with extreme outbursts of negativity. Very smart, Deever, very smart. I didn't want to damage what I already started with my Plain n' Simple city journal so I'm leaving it on hold for now. That CJ has it's own theme going and I realized that updating it with SCS pictures would definitely screw it up, so I decided to make an entirely new CJ to accommodate the said pics. Now, this does not mean that I like SCS over SC4. It's the opposite actually (I'm still looking for my CD's by the way). I just wanted to try something new (SC4 is awesome, though the game could get pretty repetitive after playing it for 4 years or more). The continued existence of this city journal would definitely rely on you guys. If enough people like it, then it stays. If not, then I'll abandon the whole SCS CJ thing and hope to rekindle my interest in SC4 when I find my CD's. I think that's a good enough intro. By the way, I got the title from that new wave song which happened to be playing when I was thinking of a name. * PRELIMINARY PICTURES * This is what I have so far: City description and more on the residential area upon next update. You may not like SimCity Societies but please don't take your frustration out on this CJ. Go smash up EA's dumpster or something.

I can't zoom out or rotate the camera.quote> If you don't have a mouse wheel you can use the "[" and "]" buttons to zoom in and out (I forgot which was which though). As for graphics... it is unfortunately true, that SCS has far worse graphics than SC4, but don't forget, that SCS is full 3D, while SC4 is 2.5D only. That is a huge difference.quote> What Namesys said pretty much sums it up.

You have some of the best farms I've ever seen (probably because people rarely showcase farms but this one is great nonetheless). Here we are with those houses on hilly slopes again. They never seize to amaze me. It reminds me a lot of home.

Wow! Are you going to work on the rest of the region? The other half is looking great already. I especially like the mountainous area with trees.
-
Meh. I'll just pic C and spin the roulette. The bridges I see in your region shots are insane! I think they're even longer than a medium-sized city tile. Must've been an engineering nightmare.

Welcome to ST guys! joncjon: You move a lot! I hope you still manage to make friends. I Kill Almighty Cheese Grater: Now you've done it. The Almighty CG will punish you heavily (j/k). But seriously, this better not be one of those clone account things ok? The_Chondo Man: Don't forget to organize your plugins folder if you don't want to have trouble looking for missing dependencies and all that. Happy downloading! sim_city-freak: There are even 60+ year old people who play this game (both on Simtropolis and other sites).

The amazing thing about this tutorial is that most if not all the things you mentioned can be applied using the free GIMP program as well. Wicked sick! EDIT: I just noticed your signature. That's quite a lot of Filipino-made CJs...

^ Nope. Don't need to. Mom bought a ton of fresh milk yesterday. < Owns a ton of fresh milk. v Will talk about something else other than milk.

Joe Satriani. His work makes for good background music whenever I play those Ace Combat games. (particularly Surfing With the Alien ). Besides, the guy kicked butt during the 80's when pop was somewhat the "in thing."

Welcome to Simtropolis everyone! icecreamforbreakfast: I too lurked a lot back when I wasn't registered. Hope to see more of you in the forums. Things Go Better With Milk: I already greeted you in that thread you made but what the hey, welcome to ST. jayredd8683: Oh ST is a huge help. If you do push through with making a CJ, good luck and have fun with it.

When the people who graduate are those who have conduct issues and those that don't graduate are the nice people (and are your closest friends too). Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I made it. But still... I don't know what the heck my teachers were thinking when they graded us but that really, really, really stinks.

The Soviets have jets? Well, they did have the MiG in RA1... Anyway, that's nice to know. Hmmm... Those heavy lifter aircraft things in the second link seem to have their design based on the real-life C-5 Galaxy (just a personal observation). Interesting. Danggit EA! Pictures of the Empire of the Rising Sun anytime soon... please?... Pretty please?

Heh. Treads over walkers any day. Mammoth mk-II? Are you kidding me? It's trying to look like something it's not, like it's pretending to be a Zoid or something. Sorry, Tib Sun just didn't work out for me. When they brought out CNC3, I was pleased to see the mammoth tank as it was supposed to look (that unit has the coolest voice-over in the game, IMHO)... and now they're bringing back those mecha stuff again, wolverines and all? Oh no no no. My final straw however is that they've not replaced the Explosion animation for the Nuclear missile, the explosion is so bad it puts me off Nod completely.quote> You too eh? Generals had better effects for the nuke and it came before CNC3.

Just what I need while I'm eating my lunch in front of the PC: zombies ravaging over live flesh, lol! The pics are nice; rain effect is cool, nice variety of BATs (the hospitals in this case), and great teaser too. Pssst!... Pssst!... Psapp... Hi... Yeah am talking to you porter! Come over here... My suggestion for your teasers is that you make use of BGMs that don't have lyrics (just instruments) so that the title won't be googled, eh? Just a suggestion.

Beautifully made river you got there. I like how it's surrounded by all that flora. It really adds to the unique look of your farms. I didn't know highways could do inclines like that (very evident in the first picture). Anyway, it looks amazing.

Hello and welcome to ST! 2ritzy4u: I know what you mean. Without this site and its custom content, SC4 would've gotten old real quick. jjune4991: Of course! You are very welcome to showcase what you got here. Take care and and have fun, guys!

"Stewardesses" is the longest word in the English language that can be typed on the left hand side of the keyboard. The first fighter jet to have a toilet installed was the Soviet Sukhoi-34. "Canada" is an American Indian term for "Big Village." There are 158 verses in the Greek National Anthem. Yellow, red, and orange are used in fast-food restaurants because those colors stimulate hunger.
