For SimCity Societies to look like that is indeed a leap forward. The suburbs look nice. I think I'll start my CJ over at Tiltedmill too. Of course there are core values about the game that you can never change with any mod (things that SC4 players loved) like transportation networks, zoning, and others. We just gotta accept that fact. Originally posted by: soldyne wow, tough crowd! that is my city he is linking to by the way. thanks baertooth, I was just comming on Simtropolis to make this exact post. as some of you know I had a CJ here on simtropolis some time ago (still linked in my sig) but SimCity4 is just too limited for me anymore. I need 3D, I need dramatic views, I need the ability to make the city I want to make and SC4 just does not have the kinds of tools I need to do that. yes SCS has its limitations; no terraforming, small city sizes, little strategy, but, a good artist knows how to work with limitations. I guess I just got bored with SC4. I must admit though, SCS is really just a snack to hold me over for Cities Unlimited. I am very much convinced that CU will be the SC5 that everyone was hoping for.quote> Heheh. You're exactly on the same boat as I am.

I'm viewing your CJ in an internet cafe right now. They have very nice LCD screens here--definitely better than the one at home. Boy are your mosaics crisp! Sharp and fine like a freshly sharpened pencil. Nice touch with the advertisement billboards.

Oh GTA IV. To add to that, I came across this CNN article on the game talking about... guess what, multiplayer mode. This part of the article in particular was eye-catching: "If players want they can jump online and never even play the single-player again," Jeronimo Barrera, vice president of game development, told GameTap. "Online is a serious time sucker. You're going to have to be really careful if you're married," he added with a smile.quote>I guess that means multiplayer mode is really gonna rock.

The Republic of Bevelle- Bolder than Ever! (Adrian Union)

I've seen your pictures on the City Building Concepts thread and boy was that great stuff. Very nice ungriddy layout with the roads. The city is also beautiful architecturally speaking. You love mosaics, don't you? That's good. -
Oh man! Imageshack is acting up again... I guess I'll have to upload my pictures on Photobucket for now. That image hosting site would've been great if it weren't for the freakin' upload limit. Just too bad. Anyway, on with the update. Downtown Frack viewed from across town. Some afternoon pics of the city. How's the view up there, window cleaner guy? The textures of this brick building look good for SCS, in my humble opinion. The other buildings could have been a lot better though. More golden pictures for ya. ... and closing with two more pictures. Well what do you know, I'm tired of the game already. I guess SCS was really meant for casual players. Don't worry I'm not abandoning this CJ just yet. I still have one more update before I move on to another city. Besides, I do have fun taking the screenshots. Mike the Mayor: Thank you. It's just my way of getting around SCS's kiddy look. Patricius Maximus: I hate to say it, but SCS looks better in the shadows...quote>Exactly... except maybe for sunsets. Thanks. nihonkaranws: Yup, that's the theme. Thanks. estepaflip: Thank you igan! ilikehotdogsalot: Yes, yes it is Jill Jacobs: Custom content? None so far. Thanks for the compliment. porter66083 and Simfan34: You made SCS look good. That in it's self is a feat of untold proportions!quote>You bet it is! And to think other people with better PC's can do better still. Thanks guys. offamychain: That's exactly it. The name fits perfectly. Thanks for dropping by. Patricius Maximus: I agree. Although in daylight lighting it looks like it's in flourescent lights.quote>Exactly, again! That's why I show more of the "golden" pictures when in color and decolorize the really bad daylight ones. doodlea21: Hard to believe huh? That's corporate desperation for you. Callbat: That part of London must be very nice then. Thanks. Wow, maybe I should buy SCS?quote>Oh quit it! lucky7: Oh I'm not offended at all. In fact, I find it gratifying to have someone who doesn't really like the game to give positive feedback like that. Thank you very much. Shingure: Watch as much as you like. Thanks. RJN: Agreed also (except for the brain hurts part). MrCinatit: With the mist from the fountains (I assume), the shadowed figures and the dark look from the rooftop, this actually reminds me a lot of one of the maps from Thief 2.quote>... which I understand is a game set during a medieval-like era? I can see why. thanks. ilikehotdogsalot: Are you kidding me? That creation of yours was

I forgot how good you were at this. Scrolling through the mosaics I saw how lights from a building or electric billboard would illuminate the area next to it. You even got the glowing light effects just right. That's amazing.

Those airplane pics remind me a lot of SC4. Nice shots hotdog. Ooh! Ooh! Lemme try! Click the images for bigger versions. A picture of the burbs as seen through my brother's window (unedited): Graduation pics that I put together (PNG format): Our dog: Enjoy. -
You're short? Welcome to the club. I'm Asian so it's natural for me to be short. Now that's tension (that argument between Ed and the "old hag," I mean)! So tense in fact that you could almost cut it in half with a knife. Anyhow, did you honestly think that you could satisfy us with pictures of a single lot taken from different angles? Actually yes, yes you can (killer effects man). Good job.

Welcome to Simtropolis, merula! It's nice to know that you're having fun. If you haven't done so already, you might want to check the omnibus for important info about this site such as the site rules. Anyway, have fun playing SC4!

I'm at a loss for words right now. I don't know what to say... uhh... Perfect combination of PEG Marina lots and breakwater lots definitely. Suplado ka talaga! Bwisit! Nakakainggit! (j/k) But seriously, I envy you. Cheers to more great updates.

I like what you did with the "climate effects." That sure is a step forward from your previous updates. Now that's what I call versatile. No matter what tile set you get, you still come up with great stuff like this one. Just goes to show that you still got it.

Despite that appalling page flip bug... WELCOME TO PAGE THIRTY TWO (32)! I just love the third picture (personally, I like the steepness). The observatory pic ain't that bad either with all those nice trees.

8000 people in a city with skyscrapers...? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! (Now my brain hurts) quote> That's not all. The "high capacity" skyscrapers employ a maximum of 40 people! How cool is that!?

Welcome guys! Mathew: Well then by all means harass away. Just make sure to post your queries in the right forum section/thread. SinnerX: You probably know it already but your real name (Dirk) is the same as the username of the guy responsible for this site. Anyway, good luck and have fun rebuilding your town in SC4.

My bedroom... or should I say "sofa-bedroom". Let me point out the really, really wrong things in this room, aside from the fact that it's a complete mess: the teddy bear-patterned blanket (stored somewhere there... So wrong...) and the bunch of ol' boxes stacked up high that look like they could fall at any minute (extreme right of the pic). These are pictures of my grandparents on my mom's side and other relatives. Closet. Nothin' too interesting here. ... and the desk, where all the action takes place; surfing the web, making my CJ, CNC Generals online matches, homework, procrastination, you name it. That's about it.

Now those are seaport shots! <-- I'm referring to both the pictures on this page and on the previous one. I don't know if you just started making seaport candy but if you did, I gotta hand it to you; you did your research my friend.

Oohh... Diagonals... Lovely. I like how you made the entrance to the station look so grand. What a magnificent structure.

Ok this wasn't a disaster after all. Now for the update. * THE CITY OF FRACK * Type of city: Capitalistic Cyberpunk (mainly capitalist) Population: 8000+ (last time I checked) CO2 count: Very low Source of electricity: Solar * RESIDENTIAL * Here's some shots of the largest residential area in town. As you've seen in other pics, the area is on the opposite side of the river with respect to downtown. I particularly like this row of white apartments. A closer look at those brick apartments. Come to think of it, these old style pics feel like "mafia" moments, personally. More oldies shots, this time from the roof of a school. Sunset. I'll show downtown later. Time for the comments. JanYpe: Kiwis huh. I guess the flesh-eating bunnies are on vacation. Thanks for dropping by. rjm35: Best? And to think those shots weren't taken on maximum graphics settings. Thank you! toki.s: Thank you. I thought the same too but a bit of image editing here and there and voila! serebii666: Thanks. I'll try. We might have a bit of a problem with the kiwis though... ilikehotdogsalot: Lol! Thanks hotdog. nihonkaranws: Thanks. It's nice to be back too. The naming comes naturally. Patricius Maximus: True. Thanks. Mulefisk: Thanks. That's the advantage of plopping. collgab: Thank you. I personally think that anyone can make SCS look good if they really try. Callbat: Weird ain't it? Thanks. RJN: Thanks. People seem to really like the last pic. Thanks for giving this CJ a chance guys. I really appreciate it.

That's a very imaginative way of building a marina. You even have hotels nearby to house the boaters. I can just imagine peeking out a hotel window and feeling the sea breeze whipping across my face. Again, nice job with the lights.

Sounds like April fools if you ask me. Well, whatever right?
