I have always powered my cities with coal power. I always have industrial sectors in my city so I put my power plants there (the air is already polluted to begin with). Coal power is the most polluting but the cheapest. -
I rarely use the conventional rail. I do use it for some of my industrial sectors (freight). I use subways in most of my cities. Subway transit isn't as fast as GLR or monorail but it is easy to integrate it into the city.

DANG! The car! The BEAUTIFUL car! Yeah, well cars crash every day. This particular car just happened to be a Ferrari. The guy carrying a camera in the video almost got sprayed by shrapnel too.

It's relatively warm here too. Definitely above 16 degrees C (the town's average temperature)... And it's going to rain in the afternoon. Great. That's tropical climate for you.
