Is there a way to change the location of your plugins folder?
Need4Camaro posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Is there any possible way you can have Sim City look in a different location for your plugins folder instead of My Documents\Sim City 4000\Plugins ?? -

Zarp - Okay The Arrowz - Yup, I used to commute from Conyers to Athens to go to College at Athens Tech, 50 Miles and only some portions are freeway on U.S. 78, including Loop 10... ...I kept seeing the Sign for Millidgeville off of Loop 10 for U.S. 441 (or was it 129? I forgot)... but yeah thats where I got the name and they resemble each other as both are located in the middle of nowere lol... ...Where are you located? -

Yoshiisland - Lol I wasn't really thinking James Bond but now that you mention it, I guess it does have alot of simularities... I was going for more a Recon / Stealth Approach (untill all heck broke loose which was relatively early...) because there was no way Soni was going to be capable of taking out the entire Army... But I am into Anime's and Soni is a fabrication of some Anime Heroes although he doesn't really resemble a single one in particular... iamihop11 - Thank you... speaking of humming, you heard the music from the second one right? I think the first song went very well with the scene although most of it was purely by coincidence... Keep me posted with your development... lilmanjs - Sorry, Okay.. ...Tuckaway resides in Parcel 3 on grid F4... MayorChapstick - Don't be such a stranger.... ...everyone begins with 30 points and gains atleast 1 point per post so talking here and there helps you down the road... You begin with 30 points... Just check out the website and see where you want to start your development... -

willg - lol ... wow, thats alot of planned development... I'll get your quote most likely later this weekend... MPTC - Whats so funny? vivydu29 - Thank you - more to come in the future... sc4portugal - Thank you! lilmanjs - First tell me where you're looking because I can find it just fine... ...Tuckaway Highway travels through Parcel 2 and 3... (I probably need to lable the highways on the outer grid view to help with this)... ...In Parcel 2 it travels between grid D7, grid D6, and grid D5.. you MIGHT need to push refresh on your browser to collect the updated image... In Parcel 3 it covers Grid D1, D2, D3, then E3, E4 and finally F4... If it loads up empty blocks of terrain, push refresh because the images have been updated and you're loading old images from stored cache of your webbrowser... ...Also you and Houston Fan need to make arrangements with whats going to happen with Highway 45 at the terminus of Tuckaway Highway and what about Houston Fan's development? shall we continue with that or what? -

haljackey - Funny lol I would have sworn that the explosion would have made the favorites but it's cool, Im ganna start doing virtual tours anyway... As for your question... This is tricky... First you'll need the Seaport Puzzle Lots by BSC... Then...Search for and download the Extra Cheats dll ... It's kind of hard to find... When you get it, install it in your main directory plugins folder... and then go to the seaport you custom biult and wait for a ship to spawn... When one does press Ctrl X to bring up the cheat dialouge box and type UDI... it will LOOK like the game is one pause and your cursor will turn into a circle... Click on the Ship that spawned... Magically you're taken into UDI mode for that ship... -

Benedict - Thank you... MPTC - Welcome Back... HoustonFan: Any news on your development along Highway 45? and how it was going to be performed? ________________________________________________ Before we get started, and this time so EVERYONE will notice (and not blame me for not updating it...) The Storyline has been updated! You can view the update HERE ... It DOES have sound... ______________________________________ Lets begin... First, I want to congratulate our new member Wittay with his first development in Newark! A town called Riverbend... lets have a look... ... Congratulations Wittay... Here is your deed... Keep track of it incase a conflict with your score arrises... ____________________________________________________ Secondly... Willg, Pepinere Views has come a long ways since it was biult... spawning its first skyscraper and the tallest biulding outside of the downtown area! Lets have a look! Convinient to the A2 Tollway Corridoor, Pepineer Views has become a prominent Upperclass High Density area in the Newark Region...Spawning its first Sky Scraper in 2031. Condo's and townhouses surrounding it provide an urban feel while shops and stores are conviniently located around the area. The Tollway provides a quick commute method to the workforce of Newark... A closer look at the tower the development... Congratulations Willg... _____________________________________________ Secondly, Newarks Major Expressway, 202/A2 Tollway and portions of the E/W Connector will undergo a project to beautify the Exit / Entrance Ramps... A Palm project... As seen below, already completed at the Exit 4 interchange with Highway 35... This means that every interchange will recieve palm trees in the median of the highway between the break in the Centermounted High Mast Lights. Exit ramps will also recieve them in an urban plan to beautify Newarks Highways... _____________________________________________________________________ And now for a points update... Name -

Quick Update: I've been working around with the MIS... It's pretty cool but not quite as flexible as I'd like it. I believe I'm going to leave the interchanges as they remain with some minor modifcations here and there... I will only require full useage of the MIS on newer Freeways and Interstates... -

Originally posted by: Filasimo really?as quoted from Tarkus: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=990.msg104911#msg104911 it sounds to me like you have some outdated files sitting around--that's the only thing that causes that "red cursor" issue. Make sure you don't have any outdated transit mods laying around--I'd also suggest removing your NAM folder and re-installing the NAM and RHW. Here's the order you should use (deviating from this will cause serious problems): 1. NAM June 2007 2. NAM Update January 2008 3. RHW (and any other standalone Plugins, like the SAM or bridges) thats what i thought and good luck hope it works outquote> That worked, it was the RHW mod released as a package of NAM that caused the issue... thanks...- 3,919 Replies

I'm having issues, The ploppbable icon for the RHW displaying nothing but a red mouse pointer regardless of how many times I press tab. I can still use the side by side method but that means no MIS... was the MIS supposed to be downloaded seperately? if so, where?- 3,919 Replies

lilmanjs - Ooooh yes.. I've been working extremely diligently as you're about to find out... Mr. Monorail Man - There should be one more on the way before Jan.7th so be on the lookout errea - Thank you and I hope you enjoy your stay...Most of those ARE rural highways... mainly just using a texture mod... ...As for the overpasses, They're apart of Nam. if you show me exactly what overpass you mean, I'll make a quick tutorial to show you... Yoshiisland - Look no further... This MIS is out?!?! AT LONG LAST... Darnit that means I'm going to have to replace all those one way roads and take updated shots! ... It'll be a project in the works but it'll be worth it! Can you make an electronic toll gantry for the MIS ramps? - Edit: Whoa, I just had a look at the RHW / MIS... wow...just...wow... I might need a minute on that sign request... ___________________________________ First announcement, I have seen all of your requests and havn't forgotten about a single one. I had to prioritize on the website seeing as though this was going to be my last break for awhile (updating is relatively simple and quick, the website, until it's complete is a different story...) I invite you all to have a look at the website again, I have updated the news chamber in allowance for it to carry multiple updates... This will be the system used to show your bio and development on the investors page aswell because it takes a grande 5 minutes to update in this format... ... Thats not all, have a look at the Parcels/Grid section, I am proud to say that it is now fully up to date and 90% COMPLETE!!! Will definately be finished by this weekend in which to allow you to choose a sector and plan... The next story update should be due before Jan.7th along with a score update... WITTAY - Welcome aboard... The cost for your development is... Cost to Biuld 31.1 Monthly Expenses 31.1 -

Merry Christmas!!! For a surprise Update, and as much as an Xmas Present I can offer you guys... I have added 50 Points to everyone's account... and further more... I've decided to show you guys just how far we've come within the last Four and a Half Months... The reason being is, we continue to request for developments and information but not once do we look at our current developments and how they have contributed to Newark and that will be the point of this Update... ________________________________ First we'll start off with some basic infastracture... The East/West Connector would probably be a prime example of a cooridoor that's been through some extensive changes... Lets have a look... E/W Connector's Old Western Terminus in the beggining of the CJ... Now exists as... Exit 6 along the East/West Connector was an At-Grade Intersection...Until... ...The coming of the 202 Tollway by Tuckaway Transportation... Several More interchanges were upgraded such as... MPTC - Yes and I understand what you're saying... What I am saying is, a Virus or a Trojan has to be PROGRAMMED to seek a certain file to attach to... It won't randomly select a file, it has a direct target file that it preys to attach to and I don't think anyone would program a virus to attack a file as exclusive as an .sc4 file... even if they did... the .sc4 files will come back to me before they out to anyone else and I am running aquadate virus protection software... __________________________________________ Yoshiisland - Please read before beggining - Here is my sign request for the frontage roads in Downtown Newark. There's more to come, for interchanges such as the 202/A2 Tollway, Hwy 104, and Tuckaway Highway's interchange so this isn't it. If it doesn't bother you I'd like you to release these signs as a seperate pack in a Menu Management Lot of their own Labled Frontage Roads... I'll give you the name to name each sign for organization and placement... ...Before I begin, I want to show you that the sign posts in Downtown Newark will be different from the sign posts in the rural areas and the 202/A2 Tollway, they will have more of an urban modern design... This is the sign post for the frontage road (I'm still looking for ideas for the main carriageway as it is sunken...) The sign features will have a curve on the sign mount, and will be colored BLACK... (ignore the colors of the mount on the upcoming photos) Now lets begin... Filename: FRJCTEB Filename: FRJCTWB Filename: FRHWY2EB-1 Filename: FRHWY2WB-1 Filename: FRHWY35JCT Filename: FRHWY2EB-2 Filename: FRHWY2WB-2 Filename: FRPARKPLCEB Filename: FRPARKPLCWB If you have any questions, feel free to ask... -

haljackey - My appoligies... It was just when I last updated it was during the later hours last night and by the time most people would view it, it got taken to the third page as if my update never occured which is why I did it... Buuut okay I won't do it again... lilmanjs - Yeah, I'll get one too you... jacqulina - Thanks MPTC - Highly unlikely as the virus would need to embed itself into the .sc4 file to carry itself over even if an infected computer did transfer it over. I'm not aware of any virus's that would attack a Sim City File. -

lilmanjs - That might not be so bad actually! Gave me another idea for priority updates which I'll announce later after this vote passes so I won't skew the results... Yoshiisland - Very well, Hmm.. as for the bats, Newark is running too many to list... I can give some general credits but I will undoubtfully miss some... but perhaps I should leave a string somewere explaining if they're offended to tell me what bat they contributed and where and I'll include them in the credits... Benedict - Drat, the SC4 files between Windows and Mac are incompatible???? Still waiting on more oppinions... ______________________________ First off! Story's been updated! You can view it HERE ________________________ Finally, the East/West Connector and Lantia Parkway have joined standards and are now amongst Highway 4... A designated route that allows the city to cover 1/4th of the expenses the road incurs ... To accomplish this, both coridoors had to meet standards by upgrading several interchanges and Lantia Pkwy now has center mounted streetlamps... First being Lantia's Parkway's exit into central Lantia via Grant Drive... Along this series of interchanges, Highmast lighting was installed aswell as collector distributor lanes for the next interchange... ... Which departs for Tuckaway Highway... The ramps here have been upgraded into smoother curve transitions to maintain optimal flow of traffic... While we're here, upgrades have been performed to the remaining interchange for Tuckaway Highway so lets have a look... Lantia Parkway Eastbound previously had no access to Tuckaway Highway Northbound and a flyover ramp has been added to accomplish that... Tuckaway Highway now is cosigned with Highway 45... Lantia ...An overview of the modified interchanges ... there's three total... Moving further East we come to the East/West connector... The old Exit 3 gets a rebiuld allowing for smoother curve transitions and extra slowdown and pickup room on the freeway, railroad tracks and road now remain level to cross the highway... Exit 4 gets a minor work on the loop around exit curve from the westbound lanes... In downtown, Highway 35 needed a serious rework on its interchange with the East/West Connector as it allowed too much traffic to merge uncontrolably. This unfortunately had to relocate an entire biulding in Talliup corner however the overview will provide the frontage roads access into and off of Highway 4 from before and after the Oconee Railway...
