If SimCity is online-dependent, how is modding supposed to work? I suppose cosmetic changes would be fine, but would functional mods like NAM ever be possible?

In some interest of realism, it makes sense to fund ambulance service since private conveyance isn't an option for a lot of patients. I'm going to try de-funding school buses though, see what happens.

I would be willing to try that... quick question. Are GLR stations included with NAM. It's the only plugin I have installed. I can lay the GLR track but there but I can't find any stations to build.

I am trying to design a grid system for a new city that accomodates Elevated Rail and I have hit a snag. I am hoping to avoid using more than one tile for the intersection. I have NAM installed and it has a tile for just such an intersection, but only over roads so I can't place it adjacent to avenues. I have attached a picture of the situation. I am wondering if the game is smart enough to impede the efeciveness of the rail system if I only have simple crossing tracks as pictured without the possibility for the trains to turn.

As I mentioned earler, the NAm plugin is the only add-on I have installed. No extra BATs or anything like that. I just tried removing the NAM mod but the game still crashes. I live in New Orleans and even in the shape it's in there's no where else I'd rather be... most every place else is just too boring. I would guess it'll be a good 10-20 years before the city is back on its feet, which I don't really consider surprising given the scope of the work ahead. I think the 24 huor news cycle generates alot of impatience. Seeing people on Tv talk about the (lack of) progress, you'd think Rome was built in a day.

I've been playing Simcity 4 Deluxe for a few dasys now. I have one mod, NAM, installed. The game appears to crash every time the city reaches a certain date. The game crashes a few minutes after I load the city, usually happens sooner when the game is running at the fastest speed, which leads me to believe it may be a performance-related problem. When I run the game at the lowest speed, I don't seem to have any problems (probably haven't played long enough to reach said date) unless I run the game at the fastest speed, which inevitably causes the game to crash after a minute or two running my city of about 100,000 people.
