Ace is there a possibility of having the 747 and CJR prop models seperate from the gate so we can use them as taxiing aircraft as well? Currently the planes are stuck to the jetways and I don't know how to fix this.
-
I don't think its rude either. It helps enhance our airport by allowing us to use two packs of really good work instead of one! It also allows us to mix it up a bit more!
-
Hey thats really good work! The runway layout looks a lot like San Fran. I like the sprawling terminal layout too!
-
Yes definatly interested in this one! Go for it!

So once again its another possible conflict brought about by oil! My personal viewpoint is America should keep its missiles within its own country. In the Cuban missile crisis America came within a few minutes of launching their missiles on Russia. Is it really surprising that Russian are making threats should America place missiles on their borders? As for the talk of possible missiles coming from Iran or North Korea: a) There is no evidence to suggest Iran has nuclear weapons yet b) North Korea may have a primative weapon but lacks the ability to launch it especially for delivery in the USA by an ICMB say. c) Even if Iran or North Korea launched a weapon at America the amount of military hardware and warheads the USA they could easily annihilate either or both of the countries so it would make little sense for them to do so. What is more likely is that, should either of these countries wish to hit the USA, they will do so covertly perhapes by a suitcase bomb or similar. The only serious threat for nuclear attack comes from Russia and China and a threat from Russia is unlikely unless it is antagonised as in this case. If we don't put missiles on their borders they have no reason to show aggression towards us. Everyone knows that the only reason one country won't launch against another is the threat of retaliation. If one country launches then so does everyone else so nuclear weapons play an important part in the prevention of nuclear war however this antaganism is making the situation far worse. We should enjoy a comfortable and safe planet without the risk of leaders egos and the wish to show power and might to the world.

I've got a similar problem I've been downloading quite a few bits of the STEX recently. Most folders open fine but some zips won't open and say they are corrupt. Cookies enabled, firewall turned off and still I have the same problem. Also I can't get at some of the dependancies. Have these been deleted after the upgrade? -
Wow great stuff ACE. Can't wait for the release. It seems that people are split over the textures for the kansai airport pieces. Personally I prefer the old ones but seeing as you are releasing each component in a seperate folder what about releasing both varients.

Thanks for sounding that out xiziz. You beat me to it. They will be here soon. Patience means they will be all the more sweeter when they are here

I hate the way you can't build diagonal tunnels or bridges, the curves in game are rubbish, the highways look terrible, the way u cant zone a diagonal road without masses of concrete appearing, the way it crashes so randomly and, whats really been bugging me lately, the way a bridge is at a constant height so if you want a high bridge you have to have a large mound either side of it with the highway or roadway travelling up to the start of the bridge. They should be curved so they have a peak height in the middle and are lower in height at either end if you see what I mean?
-
That is quite brilliant!!! Two questions is it possible to zone areas around the curves and are there some planned for highways because the curves on that have GOT to be the worst anywhere in SC4!
-
That is just simply insane!!!!

ACE you probably could have taken a picture of 747s lined up like that at heathrow or anywhere else in the world for that matter and I don't think it would look anymore real than what you have created! Simply stunning very impressed.

They are converted aircraft from FS2002 and above created using GMAX. Unfortunatly I don't have the skill or know how to make these but there are tutorials on the forums. They aren't released because of copyright issues but if you check out Ace's development of his 747 and CRJ https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=42&threadid=78183&STARTPAGE=17&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linearlastunread

Ok so I know its been asked before. What's the best way to organise the SC4 add on file in my documents? I'm building a new computer currently which I'm very proud of. Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz 4MBL2 Cache 2GB Corsair RAM 160GB WD Caviar System Drive 500GB WD Caviar Storage Drive XFX GeForce 7600GS Graphics Card 19" widescreen monitor Vista Home Premium AND a partridge in a pear tree for those of you who are interested! Now all the RAM should make SC4 loading pretty fast but I always get left with massively long menus and I'm sick of it. A new PC build is the perfect opportunity for a good clean out of the folder and some re-organisation. Now I've seen some other threads about organisation but I kinda wanted to build up a very clear picture of the best way to do this taylored to my needs. The first thing I want to do is create certain "packages" together. So for instance place groups of files together in one folder, like "military", or "port", or "commercial downtown". I could then place each folder into a larger folder and name it after the city tile i would be using during game play. Then I could swap this file into the SC4 directory dependant on what I wanted to play at the time. Of course there are going to be key files that need to be kept in place the whole time (NAM, slope mods etc). Just wanted feedback on how people would best organise this kind of system and what essential files they would keep in their SC4 directories all of the time along with which files should load first and how to set these up. Let me know your thoughts guys and girls!

I really thing you should giogos. They look relatively simple but really effective. I'm certainly looking for something like this to go along side ACE's stuff.
