Oh, well they do pretty much the same thing But I don't use the demand increasers, they will kill your city later on. Seriously too much too fast. However, the godfather project is quite useful
-
oh, the Super Demand Mod, I had that once, but it wasn't me. The industry quadupler just gives more jobs for industry, actually it's more realistic to me. I won't tell you how to play your game, I can only offer assisstance with the problem, however, if you use that super demand mod for commerce, I think it may be your problem, causeing a surge in demand an affecting the job count of the city. I'll test it for you..standby.

You are welcome to offer advice here SC4BOY, what do you suggest is the solution?
-
Actually, I don't consider it cheating, it's moding, and it makes it more realistic job wise. Also, he was in a different predicament. If you are uncomfortable with modding, then I suggest improvements on your mass transit systems, perhaps upgrading roads, or maybe some ground rail

seeleven: if you need more jobs, I recommend the industrial jobs multiplier. It quadruples the number of industry jobs and provides for soaring Residential Development. Helping your city. Do you have mass transit for the other 10%? Alfred.Jones: I think it's a great idea also, helps take a load off the forums. DioAngel: In that case, you may need the industry quadupler mod, it give you 4x the industrial jobs in one biulding, provideing for lots of jobs. I think the 'no job' zots are for the availability of jobs, not the commute, it wouldn't make since that way. Even take it a step further if you have to with mass transit....

You don't need a mod, you see: There is a reason why it doesn't do that. Dirty industry pollutes, manufactureing industry is ok with that, therefore they develop over it. However, High Tech Industry won't develop over Dirty industry because the pollution makes the desireability low. Doesn't matter if you have sufficient demand, it doesn't matter if you don't have the desireablility. Also, I-M will develop over the dirty. No mod is really neccesary, sry. Good Luck! -Frankie

One word man, Industry, it provides the most jobs for your sims, you should always start with industry, and residential development will come based on that. So my suggestion is to biuld industry. Also, that is true, low density commercial provides almost no jobs! Hope this helps -Frankie

New Fast Computer, Serious SC4 Graphical Issues
Frankie_Grove replied to lestatdl1's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
FYI, SC4 is an older game, you should keep the old computer and upgrade it specifically for SC4, that's what I did, works great! Nice new computers just don't work with SC4 unless you are very lucky. I don't know if anyone else can help as SC4 wasn't made with todays technology. So I recommend getting your older system up to date with SC4, you can find fairly cheap parts at recycleing centers or eBay. EDIT: you also need way more virtual memory, at least 1 GB or so -

Frankie_Grove replied to Dakota XS's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion

Hello all, sorry if this seems like another n00bish question, but without them we wouldn't have much to do Anyway, I need a serious video card upgrade, but I would like to know which one runs best with SC4 you know? I had an older one, not sure what kind but it had 32MB of Video Memory. I was looking into a higher grade one, but I biult this computer strictly for SC4, and I need to know which Video Card runs the game best I have a PCI slot for a video card, as nothing seems to be integrated on this motherboard but that's ok, makes it easier to replace. please..help, Frankie

That's what I meant, however old it may be, remember the computer I biult is older. I might just try the one you mentioned, Geforce 5500 FX, maybe I can find one on eBay or something.....

I have plenty of money but this is an older computer, and actually there are 5 PCI slots. I bought new RAM for the motherboard, I now have 1024 MB. It's just I need an idea for a video card that is MOST compatible with SC4

Running SC4 Flawlessly
Frankie_Grove replied to Frankie_Grove's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I just move readmes and other's like pics that go with readmes out of the plug-ins folder, to a seperate file outside, that way they are always there if i need them And even if Microsoft discontiued support for 98, 2000 has bad drivers, XP was biult to help compensate for that lack of quality in an OS. 2000 wasn't the best, it consumes more RAM than 98, even if only by a pinch And most Anti-Virus software can restart after restarting your computer. -
Where can i find the "One-Lane" ?
Frankie_Grove replied to simgarrett's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Where did one stumble across that pic?! Anyway, it looks like a cut in half One-Way road, maybe the multihighway?...maybe not, i'm not sure..... -
Boston Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig)
Frankie_Grove replied to blahdy's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
It may have been an older page, but there's a pic of a median BAT that is on a 1 x 1 tile between the RHW. Where did you ever get that? Or is it just a part of the signs that are over it? -
