The Association of Randomly Named Cities in the Region of San Francisco
Bahro replied to Bahro's topic in SC4 City Journals
Torchwood: In a dramatic move, Indostruct Coorporation became the first coorporation to privately own an entire city square. As of now, the massive industrial park is still under construction - the only completed portions of the city include a section of the Peaceable Ocean Highway, The Indefinite Expressway, and the massive Torchwood Wall: New Hampton The city of New Hampton - adjecent to Citt -

Thank you! Unfortunately, while working on the city, after having made a lot of improvements - using NAM puzzle pieces, etc - SimCity 4 crashed. Dang it. So, now I've got to do about an hours worth of work over again, which I am not in the mood for right now. -
Those pictures look good, I will check back!

Anyway, new images of the harbor in Svalbard. The area around it has grown quite a bit, and it now supplies around 10,000 Industrial jobs. This city and the other industrial city have raised the total I jobs in TARNCitRoSF to 23,000. pickled_pig > Thanks for those suggestions! The mods you linked to and the suggestions have made my city look much more realistic. Jason > Thanks! ElBarto92 > Heh, what a coincidence. I downloaded the mods that you suggested before you made your post (ie, the same ones, weathered granite and brigantine). -

Here's an industrial port I created using some downloaded files: It's in another city, north of the one shown above. The entire thing is powered by an offshore oil rig. -
Hello. I am new to Simtropolis 5.0. I had an account on 4.0 a while back but forgot my username and password. I posted once or twice maybe. Anyway, I have been playing SimCity since I was 6. I remember my favorite part of going to my uncle's house would be that they had SimCity 2000 on their computer instead of just SimCity Classic that I had been playing.

The Association of Randomly Named Cities in the Region of San Francisco

@ElBarto: Thanks! I'm currently selecting a bunch of stuff to download - the only things I have right now are the NAM, and the diagnol streets mod. @salut221: It's too bad it's not as good as your City Journal, huh? @jt: Thanks, I'll experiment with that. -

Well, like I said, I am a newbie to SimCity... and of course I don't expect to compete with the likes of Green Depra or Danapolis, or one of the truly amazing City Journals like those. As for the STEX, it would be much easier to find good buildings if there was a way to sort by rating, but I will take a look. Do I have steep enough terrain to require terracing? -
The Association of Randomly Named Cities in the Region of San Francisco

First off, this is my first attempt at a City Journal so please bear with me. Secondly, my city has already been going for quite some time before this, so things are already quite developed. *ahem* The first city is my main city, San Francisco, and my first city. It is also the most successful city I have built to date, with 75,000 people. I'll just show a couple of different sections of this city that I like the most in this first introductory post. This is one of the high density areas of my city. I have a couple large residential buildings there - two low wealth, two medium wealth, and two high wealth. Getting the transportation network to function here was a pain - first I tried to make the road system work, with avenues and one way roads. Then I attempted to make a railway system into the neighboring dirty industrial city. Finally, I settled with a subway, which is working well in combination with the other options. A portion of my beach area is shown here - the medium density near the avenue fading to low density farther away to create less strain on the transportation network. Something I have been wondering is if the cemetery is a NIMBY or a YIMBY. However, it does not seem to have affected my development. I like that blue tower in the middle there. I don't like that abandoned building in the top right though... recently I have experienced a mass exodus of Co -

Looking good. By any chance, do you happen to live in Oregon? I'm just asking because I live in a town named Newport, and Portland is the name of the biggest city in Oregon
