  1. Yes, but not with games that are by nature of the single player game. City simulation is not a player versus player type of game.
  2. That really has not much to do with piracy nor prevent it. it has to do with control and preventing second hand markets.
  3. Requiring some sort of always on-line is in itself not good of course. They have so far as I have seen only mentioned that you won't be kicked if you lose connection. That to me indicate that you need to some way reconnect eventually. But appearantly connection at start up is a must (meaning no real off-line play). More troubbeling in my opinion seems to be the "cloud save". Apparantly the game saves more or less continously to the cloud. No mention of saving on your own computer (see above about reconnect for problems). So does this mean one can't make back ups of cities? Will it be possible to go back to an earlier version of ones city? What about save game editing? I often liked to try out various things in my towns or if something went very bad be able to go back to an earlier save and do it differently. I liked to take older towns and move them into newly created regions to kick start the region (even had some partly done cities for that which I ten played on, will that be possible? How about sending a city to a fried for him to try out or look at? Seems all impossible with the "cloud save". Another big "no buy" for me. What about various cheats? Sure, I normally like to play the game normally but I have also many times started and played cities with some sort of money cheat so as to be economically independant and be able to focus on just building a city like I wanted, not having to wait for hours to make a small amount of cach to build a few more areas. It would seem to not be allowed considering the "global economy" but also for other reasons. Obviously there would have to be some sort of "reality check" on cities saved to the multi-player region in the cloud. Another "no buy". With the whole global economy and multi-player in the cloud, it would also seem that not any type of mod would be allowed, those changing the rules of the game would of course wreck havoc in the global economy. WIll only certain types of approved mods be allowed (through an official Origin mod "store"). This game is so far just piling up new "no buy" all the time. What on earth makes all game producers think that every game must be on-line multi player and then come up with some lame excuse how that makes off-line not possible. I prefer to play by myself, especially in simulation games. I don't have friends how tend to play the same games as me and especially not at the same time as me. Sure I can start a region with some friend in another city, what happens when he loses interest or don't want to play that any more, I will sit there with half made cities no on plays? No thanks. Time to dust off SimCity 4 again (do that almost every other year). Wonder if one can do that 2025 with the new SimCity or if one is supposed to have gone through SimCity 2015, SimCity 2017, SimCity 2019..... since the old games are shut down.
