Specializing SimCity

I rather like the expansion on neighbour deals that they have made, but I am not sure about this specialization business. It might be necessary, however, due to the tiny city size.

Has anyone noticed whether there is intercity freight? And manufacturing distribution?

My understanding is that there is intercity freight, depending on the buildings you have in your city. Much like how they demonstrated a player plopping casinos, you can plop storage facilities, and you can import or export resources if you have the proper storage facilities and adequate room in them.

Its good to see an update on some of the more possitive aspects of this game for once. The way different regions can support each other is very interesting and one of the better things about this game.

Let's not get carried away. I don't think there is any interaction between regions.

I'm glad to see for once (at least, in a long time) some positive information about the game. I like the idea of making specialized cities; I've always thought it would help set users apart from each other. In a group of cities, x player would stand out as an important asset, as all the y resources are acquired from x player.

Not impressed: it seems they're going with the "total communist control" city like in Cities XL. Sure, SimCity 4 always had a bit of socialism to keep people on their toes, but not "you're the mayor, form a business"

I am not going to buy into this "specialized city" business, it is a LIE and anyone optimistic about it is going to be crushed.

Sorry my bad... I didn't mean regions I meant city tiles in a region :-).

*sign* If only they hadn't decided to sacrifice every good thing developed over the years so they could use that very limited glassbox engine.

They've had long enough to develop a perfectly good simulator using modern technology without all those limitations, but they seem to have put their research bucks on the wrong horse.

i have a problem : i download buildings and i paste it in the plugin folder but if i start the game the buildings are nowhere to be found :/ can you help me please ?
