Welcome to Islandia! This group of islands is an important commercial center for the region. The small portion that is the mainland area of this municipality has an airport, of which the runway extends on reclaimed land. Remeber the planned overview I showed a couple pages back? Well, this developing city (Strandsted) is the rightmost blue area. It's large downtown area, stretching from the beach to north of the highway interchange, is nearing completion. This region is a beautiful mountainous delta region, fed by the Chutao river. I'll try to present weekly updates. For now, this is the region so far. Mind you that so far, only 4 of the 56 large city tiles have been used! The region now consists of 3 small cities, 8 villages, an industrial port, a small local airfield and lots of farmland. Jackson is the northern municipality, consisting of Jackson City, Acery, Hilberton and Sefhos. The H1 ends in Jackson city and becomes the N1, an avenue going north, connecting Acery and Hilberton to Jackson City. The N2 cuts through Airport District, connecting Sefhos, Sefhos Aiport and Menton, a town in the Hutchville Municipality. Welcome to the third page! In this update, we'll see a change in Jackson City. The mayor was getting complaints from the residents, the boards of the commercial districts and the industry leaders about the high-tech industry park located on the Port Boulevard between the H1 and the N2. The nearby residents didn't want the industry near their homes, even though it was clean. Now that we've seen Jackson, let's get in the car, and take the N2 southbound. We don't have to drive long to get to the town of Menton. Menton has a weird background: the town used to be a castle, which used canals to defend itself against possible intruders. The southwestern part is supposed to become the central part of a large metropolis, with the blue parts high-density development with CBD's and highrise apartment buildings. Finally a new update! After having a few important deadlines at the uni I now have had the time to make a new update. Islandia really benefits from the airport being so close by. Tourists are coming into the city and the mayor decided that those tourists should have something nice to see. He therefor ordered a marina and a boardwalk to be constructed. As promised yesterday, I'll show Oceantown today. I have been quite busy building a nice business district today and I hope you like what it's become. Oceantown is supposed to become the suburbs of the island metropolis to be built. As you can see, Oceantown is built on several peninsulars and islands. The largest is called Mestina.
