Route 6 (Pine Forest) Extension

In response to increasing commuters demand to the newly opened car factory and industrial park in the suburban community of New Torbury, Route 6 Pine Forest will extend its service to the locale effective January 1, 1960.

To accomodate this extension, the New Torbury bus loop is opened on the same day as the extension.

* Originally, this extension was proposed along with the opening of Mezzo Terminal. However, the terminal was not able to opened on its proposed date due to conflicts with the construction contractors. The opening date is now deferred to the year 1962.

Route 6A was also cancelled in this extension due to low ridership. Watch for our RIDERSHIP REPORT in our next entries.
