Rooleyson April 2010 Update: Report from the City Hall

Welcome to the April 2010 update! The city of Rooleyson, or should we say the metropolis of Rooleyson, has reached a big milestone of 1 000 000 population! It's a big milestone for the city as it continues to grow. Some big new buildings have been built around the city as well as part of the celebration of this massive population milestone. Rooleyson is now the capital of the country of Roowana, and now has the Roawanian Parliament House. With the population increasing, development has continued in the southern suburbs, focusing on the central south east suburbs. Demand for services has also increased along with this, and education services have increased with a new southside college and the University of Rooleyson built, along with new schools. A new industrial area is also being built on from the industries in the Airport District, creating a new area called the Eastern Industrial District. Parking lots have also been created around the city and suburbs to handle the population increase as well.

They Paved Paradise To Put Up A Parking Lot
The increase in the population means more cars on the road, which will need places to park. To solve this problem, the council has built several parking lots throughout the CBD and around the suburbs where there are shops. They built the parking lots ontop of many empty plazas throughout the city, mainly around the backstreets and under the overpasses at the RHN CBD interchange. Parking lots have also been a major concept in designing the shopping areas for the southern suburbs.
