You may remember the teaser image of South Point. Here is a more in-depth tour of the settlement.

(Game must not have liked the seaport very much!)

South Point, when we last left it in the teaser, had a population of 595. That has increased nearly fivefold, with a population now of over 2,500.

With beautiful farmlands near the ocean....

...to small houses dwarfed by the beautiful green valleys...

...South Point looks like a fabulous place to live.

Lets quote this City Journals' very first comment, by my fellow "simtropolisian" TekindusT:

...I hope to see high-wealth residents in all those yokel houses in a short time...

With this economy, however? Not likely.

People in South Point are having to use wells to get water, use what they have to cure the sick and educate the young, and pray that fire, famine, and crime never happen. Not to mention, the only real way to travel is by boat, and the seaport (along with the rest of any new developments) is out of the power grid, it being at a full capacity.

There is hope however. Notice the two patches of trees in this picture:

THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN VOTE! South Point has been allocated a grant in which the city can use for two (one per area) of the following six things:

A - clinic

B - school

C - power generators

D - police bureau

E - fire department

F - water pumps

Or vote for this one:

G - asphalt to replace dirt and gravel roads

Normally votes in the future won't have this many options, however this is to prove how bad things are in South Point right now. Leave a comment with two letters from A through F (or G), because until you do, South Point will be a pretty cruddy place to live. (and tell me how you thought of this entry: I am still new to this City Journal author thing!)

in UPDATE 3 - we will drop into Morgansville and see how things are going on the other side of the mountains..........

Imo looks unrealistic because of the conformation of the land, i mean, no one would build a city on hills only, no one would start from hills to build the core of the city. I doubt you need "more" custom content.

More custom content? I see a custom wind power plant, a custom rock mod, custom trees and custom dirt roads; I think this is enough for a so small population... And maybe the whole settling can be unrealistic but this is because the landscape is quite hilly.

I vote for F; water will increase the population (thus, tax income) and will allow the commercial zones grow a little bit. The clinic and the school aren't really necessary in this point and in my experience, with this wind power plants you've got plenty of energy for now.
