Blue Island City: Neighborhoods 2- Uptown, Portsmouth Village Camdon Yards
BLUE ISLAND CITY: UPTOWN, PORTSMOUTH VILLAGE, CAMDON YARDS
today, we'll be looking at the other final three neighborhoods on the main island which vary in their makeup and density. You can find Uptown, Portsmouth District, and Camdon Yards on the map below.
UPTOWN
Uptown wedged between the cultural hub of Portsmouth Village to the east and Canal Street Mall and Bayside Park to the west, Uptown is an extremely dense and popular neighborhood with a skyline and commercial center which rivals most cities in The Archipelago. We'll start out at Uptown Central Station, one of the busiest stations in the region.

Canal Street Malls which sits between Bayside parks and the Uptown Skyline is the most popular tourist attraction on the island where you can find
the best shopping with its central location in Blue Island City.
And finally, you can find Thompson High School and Centerpoint Elementary, the two largest school grade schools in the region and some of the highest performing.
PORTSMOUTH VILLAGE
While the CBD might be the commercial heart of the Blue Islands, Portsmouth Village is the cultural heart of the subregion. this historical center was once a major port but has now been revitalized to a boardwalk with lots of bars and restaurants that continue deep into the neighborhood. You can also find the Old Port Stadium which is home to the Blue Island City Pirates.

In the highrise southern portion of Portsmouth Village, you can find Fisher Avenue, one of the most popular streets in the city for shopping and nightlife.

CAMDON YARDS
Nestled between Uptown, two major parks, and two industrial districts, it's certainly the most residential and working-class neighborhood but does contain notable sites such as Camdon Square at the end of Canal Street Mall, Camdon Park, and Blue Island City University.

Camdon Park
And finally, you can find Port Camdon. It was at one point one of The busiest ports in The Archipelago, but as the region has grown, much of the shipping has been re-routed to larger and deeper ports. There is a question if this port will go the way of Portsmouth District and be turned into Blue Island City's next hip neighborhood...
