It was an especially cloudy and dark night atop the Kingdom's most important reservoir, nothing new for one of the rainiest parts of the South Rotan Alps...
A few nighttime travelers chugged along Primary Highway 15, presumably returning from their daytime activities in Rhennus and Lake Pearl to their homes in the highlands...
The dam village residents took shelter in their homes, worried about the mighty reservoir nearby...
...Meanwhile, the village of Gladia was also afraid, especially if the Diamond River overflows its banks and severs their precious connection to the nearby railway.
Rain picks up more and more, reaching the circuitous mountainside route...
More and more water pours down the slopes at the headwaters of Lake Pearl, visibility is extremely difficult and the rain drops are able to deafen the otherwise impressive roar from the Lake Diamond hydroelectric plant!
