Budapest Magyar !

Welcome in the third city in this series ! Budapest as several east european cities breath the air of the orient. Most prominet the large chainbridge, the hungarian parlament and the Keleti Railway station. Impresive landmarks wich if not available be improvised. Magyar is refered to as Hungary the country or the original tribe living in the area descriped. Hope you enjoy this CJ !

Starting a new city always is a big effort, this week have been a very warm one, with tempertures upt 30 dgr, releasing this CJ didn´t went without a lot of sweat and  tears !

Starting a large city a like, require a big network of road´s rail and other necesities. As with the other cities these appear first and take a lot of time to complete. 4Cities region, as this is called, has a RHW network in progres, some parts are ready, most to be created allthought it will quit small comparing to the Mayon region !

Some structures and the Budapest Keleti Railway station replaced by Gare Orsay !

Most surrounding neighbourhoods in this series will be average european, in future CJ specific countries these will mostly adapted as you saw in France Agricole I. Sample neighbourhood arround Keleti Station !

So that´s all for this month ! Next month CJ will be under reserve, if circumstances are Ok !

Hope you enjoyed this CJ and see you back next time !

Your city is abandoned? I see no traffic, that's a shame

Silence on the streets but busy bellow are are three subway lines and the waterfront GLR ! Budapest got quit a array of tramlines. Europe ANNO being a serries with somekind of discretion on realty I decided to only  have the river side GLR´s in, street will get busy when the other half of town and the suburbs get ready, as a young city I love it when the streets are empty, using most efficient, enviromental friendly transpoort there is !

Sincerely yours,

Really like that angled part of town, bit of a mindbender to look at and those rails are cool too. I noticed you haven't switched to the RRW though, is it because you don't like the textures? I wasn't a big fan of them at first either but the ability to smoothen out curves really sold me on it and I think it will for you as well.

Thank you, Yes, light sandstone textue I didn´t like it in a city enviroment of concrete sleepers; do have a instalation with the RRW activated, maybe search arround for a replacement texture, for this serries with this abscence and some catenary mod problems it will not be on in this series ! Mosaic wher quit a puzzle, only missing a orthoginal and diagonal 1x2 piece; Konditorei and Berlin Cafe are Ok for orthogianal; handy melding in missing pieces took some effort still not perfect some of the sanepan and pokisomo do work well toegether !

Sincerely yours,

Hi!

Nice to see my original home city in SC4! I've lived in Budapest for 33 years. :) Thank you for sharing this! :)

Anyway You can use the RRW in SC4 Budapest. Budapest is an old city and as I remember the RRW fits better than this pure metalic maxis style railway.

Somewhere I actually found a very huge actual SC4 Budapest map, but I've never felt the courage to start built in that map.

May I ask what those buildings are (shaped w2w squares) around the Hungarian Parlament?

thank you, Nice to hear ! RRW will feature in some future series; recently converted  from maxis textures into the Rivit Rail Upgrade Mod as sugested, there maybe some other variation I could try to make it more earthy.. Budapest as the other cities representation is no way near the actual size, some mayor buildings are just about at the correct location other´s are randomly placed, as well transit and other detail. The buildings are indeed W2W by Ferox  https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1918

Second CJ part Budapest Kifordditva - Inside out has been released last month, so more to explore at the Pest side of the river !

Sincerely yours,

kschmidt
