Central Mookimia: Katzenschloß

The Central Mookimia District hosts several towns and is bisected by a large, strategic body of water. A rocky outcrop, the Schloßberg, houses a castle. The castle, Katzenschloß, is the seat of power for the district government. And it's pretty cool too. The governor has a home and office in the castle and most government functions for the district are conducted here. The Mookimia Turnpike offers transit connections to the port of Purkeyluo to the north and Franzikoi District to the south as well as direct east-west travel across the region. Doi Agaa is a cluster of homes and businesses surrounding the Schloßberg. Doi Agaa is well known for its famous canine-feline sports event: the Great Squirrel Chase. Cats and dogs compete to see who is best at chasing squirrels up the Schloßberg. Winners get ribbons and all participants get shirts. Of course, dogs will wear shirts. But I wish you luck getting one on a cat! (Most cats will sleep on them though if they are properly placed in the corner of the couch.)

Katzenschloß has opened a field office for the Directorate of Avian Affairs. There is much speculation (and perhaps a bit of concern) concerning the sudden influx of flocks of mockingjays in the area. The feline residents do not find them tasty but do find them hard to catch. Their other unique properties have some concerned that the birds may be a part of a Queensferry plot to destabilize the Schulminion interior. Only time will tell...

Katzenschloß houses offices for many government agencies. The Bureau of Feline Affairs, the city mint, Catnip Comptroller's Office and the Ministry of Silly Walks all can be found here, amongst many others.

The view from the Ministry of Silly Walks' window is grand!

The Bureau of Feline Affairs and the mint occupy the first floor. A vault inside the castle walls stores the gold and silver used in minting.

The mockingjays are roosting in this forest. Anyone got any recipes for them?

Freiherr Jakob von Hallen just bought the house next to the church. He's the new office manager for the Ministry of Silly Walks. You should see him commute to work!

Looking to visit scenic Doi Agaa? Try the Doi Agaa Lodge, located here on the corner. Every room has great room service, including a catmint on your pillow daily.

From atop the Schloßberg you can get some serious distance with a paper airplane!

Many of the homes at the base of the Schloßberg are owned by government workers or support staff. One apartment building, the Wirdle's Paws, is rented by the Bureau of Feline Affairs for its workers.

There's plenty of commerce with vibrant locally owned shops

The Tabby Baron lives here, across the street from the church. He's sort of like the Red Baron, but cuter and furrier.

Dr. Julian Bashir, the new veterinarian, lives here

Patsy Cline always makes great chocolate chip cookies at her house. But, they always fall to pieces. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd be walking after midnight to get me a plateful of them!

Ondrej Košice operates the local apothecary. Next door to his business is Jonah's Whale Accessories.

As you can see, the Katzenschloß is truly the hub of a bustling community!
