TMW - Pragia System | "A little too late"
Overview ~
In an area, 15 clicks north of the Cerberus Teltin Biotics Research Facility, is another Cerberus complex which acts as a support, utilities and monitoring station for the official Teltin research complex. But when the Teltin Facility is thrown out of whack by its biotic research subjects, minors and children, the Teltin Auxiliary Facility sets to recover the station and straighten out the degrading situation. But when this fails, the units and staff inside this station have but little choice to purge the Auxiliary and erase any evidence of illegal and unethical testing on under-aged subjects and minors. Decades on, after the original Teltin Facility fell, the Teltin Auxiliary is dug up by an independent Alliance investigation that worked to uncover had really been done to the rescued children after interviews had seen them shocked, wary and unstable, all mumbling and mentioning what was then a largely unknown human terrorist cell designated 'Cerberus'.

The cacti? They're from a set on the STEX, released by, and as far as I remember, Kergelen. Either on the STEX or the LEX, but I can't seem to find it.

Indeed it is. Thanks Will! ![]()

Note: A side-story based upon the Teltin Facility's destruction and Jack (Subject Zero / Jacqueline) escape from the Cerberus lead facility. In this, an Auxiliary station exists 10km North of Teltin's location, and acts as a utility and monitoring structure. The image(s) turned out pretty well, and somehow, the late addition of those overgrown ivies and vines, which were actually a mistake in a way, gave it more of an 'abandoned complex' atmosphere.

During the mid-2160s, years after the First Contact War with the turians, humanity found itself getting cozy in a new galactic community. And after first conflict with alien race, occupying a colony harboring hundreds of thousands of humans, a man, still only known by his self-desginated title "Illusive Man", formed a pro-human front organization, with the obvious intent of advancing human interests, as well as sciences, technologies and intelligence. 'Cerberus', as it was first discovered by the Systems Alliance, found itself organizing and venturing out into the known galaxy, doing everything possible to support their cause. At the cost of many lives, humans included.
By the time the organization peaked in ability to perform organized raids and garner funding for covert research, Cerberus began to expand its operations farther out into the galaxy. Research platforms, such as the well veiled Teltin Facility on the planetary system of Pragia, was one of many that performed experiments and carried out research that would benefit human scientific advancement. Unfortunately, despite its pro-humanist intentions, children and minors deceptively taken from their parents, were captivated and barbarically tested on for the enhancement of biotic potential in humans -- all inorder to create a human super-biotic. When the facility allegedly went 'rogue', its most 'prized subject', along with other test subjects captivated in the station, had all but destroyed the facility, with few survivors that remained, left to be covered-up as victims of batarian slave-trading pirates when the Alliance was notified.
Now, decades on from the destruction of Teltin, its Auxiliary complex remains as dormant and overgrown from the fast reclaiming flora as its official counterpart, destroyed in a blaze of fire and lethal biotic energy. The Auxiliary, only found recently by an independent investigative group affiliated with the Alliance, looking into the facilities of the terrorist cell that was mumbled by the few children they interviewed; shocked, traumatized and wary. Little did they know that the facility the investigated was not the official.

In the rainy and humid environment, imposed by a hot climate, stood the overgrown Teltin Auxiliary complex. A large communications dish seemed largely untouched, except for the growth of ivy and moss-like floral analogs.

On the walls and panels of the massive structures painted were logos of Cerberus, on what seemed like a make-shift interrogation and detention compound, besides acting as a utilities complex.

As the Alliance investigators, working on an independent case that lacked evidence, sources and leads, made their approach of the Teltin Auxiliary, they attempted to land their shuttle in a vertical dock that appeared to be damaged and pried open.

Spending several hours filing through left over documents, activiating the compound's still largely intact power systems and scanning their computers and data caches, they availed no incriminating evidence against Cerberus and the children they had 'rescued' from batarian slavers; all except for an unrecoverable fragmented manifest of the Teltin Auxiliary's detainees, none of which provided any recognizable IDs and intel.
The Auxiliary investigation was nothing but a bust.
