Thank you all for the great compliments, I enjoy reading all of your comments.
Vlasky: Loving it! Great job. I always look forward to what's coming next. Honestly, I can't wait till you get into 20th century ![]()
You and me both! There are so many awesome early 20th century BATs that I am just dying to use.
theish803: Your attention to detail and historical accuracy amaze me. Thank you for this wonderful CJ, I love reading your entries!
Thanks! I try to keep things somewhat historically accurate, but I’m no History major, so a lot of it is pure imagination.
Langtan: very beautiful update.the only thing i would suggest is a little forest diversity.apart from that 5/5.
Thanks! Believe me, I wish I could go back and swap my C.P. tree controller for Blunder’s PNW seasonal controller (even though C.P.’s is fantastic and does a great job), but I had already “tree’d” nearly half my region, and the amount of time it would have taken to go through each tile and delete every tree would have been beyond even my patience. Next time!
Superbacon: I always enjoy sitting here on a relaxing day to take in the images and narration and take my time with them. I've said this before, but I really do look forward to seeing these updates. It's also somewhat of an inspiration to how I build my regions now. Thank you for bringing these to us.
Thank you for the kind words, and I’m flattered that I was able to provide some inspiration.
Mithrik: Very cool, and we finally saw something of Materburg after a looong time without any knowledge of what happened to it.
The 10 year census is my way of going through the whole region and getting caught up, so I’m glad I was able to finally get back to Materburg and show how things stand in 1880.
UndercoverNinja12: I could easily see him falling in love with the wilderness after being there so long... At the beginning you resist the change, and at the end you resist the change too. Nice story ![]()
Yep, and we probably haven’t heard the last of Stevens either.
DUKE-OF-MAYHEM: Stevens finally settles down. It was both a happy and sad moment for me. I will miss the adventures he had exploring the region and meeting the colorful characters of New SorGun. Now he leaves it off with his friend Jacob. I hope they meet again though it will probably be in another ten years. Another fabulous update. 10/10
Thanks! And don’t be surprised if Jacob picks up the reigns ten years down the road.
Paulobergonci: great details! i admire your patience, when i make historical cjs i cant wait to transform that village into a metropole ![]()
I have to fight that urge constantly ![]()
zanzibar42: Those farm plots that are just slightly rotated are amazing. That adds so much detail.
I’m happy that you noticed! I wasn’t sure how that would work, but I think the region shot is worth the extra work planning out those angled roads.
Kpirx: Just got back to simtropolis and found your journal. Awesome job man! Your cities are rich in details. It seems like everything is in its right place. Fantastic journal to read!
Thank you so much, and welcome back!
Haljackey: Your work is very unlike my style but it is so well done. Congrats and keep it up! I should really check in more often ![]()
Yes, we definitely have a different style of play, but that is a great testament to how open-ended SC4 can be. Thanks for stopping by!
NMUSpidey: Awesome. I love a happy ending. I think I know who's going to be buying that land, and it sure won't be a high-falutin' aristocrat! Except, you know, who's doing that murdering from a few issues back? Also, on the way up to Arrow Ridge, I think Stevens was probably more concerned with the group's morale instead of their moral (morals?). I got yer back, buddy!
That’s it! I’ve just fired the previous editor – I can’t believe he let such an obvious mistake slip through. It’s hard to find good help these days… Hey, that reminds me, you wouldn’t happen to be looking for a job, eh? ![]()
Grstudios: Wow. Really long time since I visited ST. I just got in and wanted to check your CJ for changes. Well, I see you got yourself a nice amount of fans! You deserve it! This is marvelous. It really is.
I really admire your work, and your extra toil on improving your CJ with self-designed lots. And those aerial shots! Really great. And finally, that last picture you took of that dock: I've never seen any kind of docks or adj. hangars like that... Is it your work too? It's great to see your success!
- Guy (grstudios)
Thanks, and long time no see! Most of what you see on those docks will be available soon as a special “Historic Harbor” set being put together by krashspeed, vortext and myself.
The census is over, and next time we will take a look back at what happened over the course of Stevens journey across the SorGun region. Keep a look out for massive region mosaics and some .gif's. Stay tuned.
