Rebuilding Spandau
Thanks for the comments folks. Silliness is not thinking about ancient extraterrestrial civilization. Rejecting it as silliness is silliness ![]()
Anyway, back to reconstructions. But first, let me show you New Berlin.

This time I played with a Here are a few pictures with the new trees.

Our first town we'll rebuild is Spandau.

Spandau isn't that bad, but it need a lot of improvements. There is no water, no garbage management and no police and fire stations. It also have bumpy roads, so the cars here break down very often.

This is the small industrial zone, with plenty of low efficiency factories that pollutes the environment in order to produce... not sure what. And of course there is no better power source than a prehistoric coal plant. What next? Living in caves? ![]()

Spandau has a small railroad track, which is nice because it reduce the need of driving. However the railroad system of Spandau doesn't make any sense because is too short, too bumpy and too dangerous for the drivers.

O.K., I saw enough. Let me pick up my tools...

... and rebuild Spandau.

First, let's remove everything. We need to clean up the town before playing, including the railroads as well.

Now let's terraform the map a bit by flatting the ground a bit, in order to prepared it for the constructions. I never liked cities with too much bumps.

Now that we flat the map, time for constructions. We need power for the city and this geothermal power plant is perfect selection. Something tells me that I really love this power plant. Maybe it's because I use it very often ![]()

Sims needs water and this facility will pump fresh water from the river to the Sims.

We also need some recycling and upgrading centres to deal with the "garbage".

I remade the industrial zone. This time it also has police and fire stations, as well as a water cleaning device.

Time to rebuild the town. At first I plant some trees in the slopes to make the town as green as possible.

And finally let's remove the road tiles and build some buildings, lay zones and drag a few extra streets.

Spandau is ready. Well, not exactly. I have a lot of things to build, like mass transit and parks. More cool stuff are coming up next. Stay tuned ![]()

By the way, did you notice something? I also removed the wires, but the town is not out of power. Why you need ugly and inefficient wires that disturb the environment, when you can have the technology of wireless transmission of energy? ![]()
