New Stuff
Area: Mt. Fuji
Tiles: All of them!
Just a quick update today. Now that I've developed the area surrounding Mt. Fuji (well, the eastern half) I can go ahead and show a region shot.

Since i've figured out how to modify a tree controller to suit my purposes of filling large swathes of forest after I've detailed out an area, I've managed to totally fill in the slopes of Mt. Fuji.I know I've talked about this before, but that re-working of the tree controller has literally saved me several hours on each tile. Before it would take anywhere from 5 to 10 hours to 'tree out' a large tile properly. Now I can cover it in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes. (Getting over my addiction to detailing every last little detail, even if it would never appear 'on screen' in a CJ has helped too).
Transit View:

There are 2 tiles downstream from Fuji Fields. One is mostly complete, one just has the transit network and utilities laid down. I probably will skip these for now and head on up towards crater lake.
One of the things that I really like in SC4 is when people do a good job making a well blended region. That's something I hope to do with my region here, but right now there's little detail to show of that. As the Ring of Fire progresses, however, I hope that my region blends well.
You can see some bare bones starts to some areas to the west of Fuji since I always start an area by laying down the main transit systems over several tiles first. We'll get there sooner or later but first we will head north.
And since I didn't collect night shots of Lake Benihana for the last update, here ya go:
1. Nighttime overview.

2. The Geothermal plant

3. The Boardwalk.

4. Mansions.

5. More Mansions.

And now you know where the Ring of Fire stands as a region. I hope you all found the region view enlightening. Until next time, happy CJing.
