10. Downtown Benihana

Welcome back to the Ring of Fire.

Sorry I haven't replied with my usual regularity folks, I was out of town for the past couple days and so I didn't get in my usual friday update.

Replies:

@ee99, ehs: Thanks. Those buildings overhanding the water in the last pic are Captain Jacks Landing and the Playboy Mansion, both availible over on the LEX.

@NMUSpidey, iMetropolis: Thank you, sir. I'm not too sure but I believe I got them from the Japanese site hide and seek (and yes it's in japanese). Link. @Spidey: Thanks blah blah yadda yadda blah blah. :P

@BugsBunny: I use a custom modified CPT Olympic tree controller, but I use most of the trees out there, including girrafe's, heblem's, simfox's, peg's, lokie's seasonal cp's, and others.

@khrystof: Thanks. BTW I like your work and I'm hoping to use your Ykele lots and Military airplane lots in an update one of these days.

@boshk: I'm afraid I don't see the same clutter that you do in that mansion. Do you mean the dry moss filled moat? The small outbuildings in the front? The small cherry grove?

Area: Mt. Fuji

Tile: Lake Benihana

Today we take a look at the last slice of this tile (the downtown) before moving on.

1. If you remember from last time, there was a main avenue passing through town. It ended at the mansion on the waterfront and started at the Fuji Trailhead.

2. Near the intersection of Main St. (woohoo, another original name!) and the Fuji Route is the terminus of the Fuji rail line (passengers only). Some of Lake Benihana's commercial establishments can be seen nearby.

3. More businesses on Main St.

4. Newer condos between Main and the lake at the end of the boardwalk. Smaller generic office-shops line the other side.

5. Down the Fuji Route there is a small industrial area with truck parking.

6. The park in the middle of the city. It comes to a point near the Fuji Route.

7. The restaurant district on the south side of the park.

8. Some of the waterfront hotels in town.

9. More waterfront hotels.

10. The start of Business Row. The commercial empire families in town have some of their corporate headquarters here.

11. More Offices on Business Row and the boardwalk.

12. End of the Boardwalk.

13. The middle of town.

14. And an overview of most of the tile.

Aaaaaaand it looks like I forgot to take a nightshot. I'll shove it in with a later update.

That brings an end to this update. I hope you enjoyed Lake Benihana and thanks for stopping by. Feel free to drop you thoughts below.

Next time I promise we'll get off this tile and move on with the region. ;)

It feels like this beautiful area will succumb to one of the volcanoes....

NICE!

I think the flora is the best part of your updates. Another wonderful job!

Fun fact: in Japan, only the biggest roads have names, anything other than a major boulevard or a national highway gets no name. To add to the fun, buildings are numbered by when they were built, so they are not in geographic sequence. Finding where you are is a TON of fun, let me tell you...
