Grozen and Seranto Oblast on Map
Grozen (Russian: Гро́зен) is the capital city of the Seranto Oblast, Kushan Empire. The city lies on the Surzo river. According to the preliminary results of the 2010 Census, the city had a population of 271,600, up from 210,720 recorded in the 2002 Census.
In Russian, "Grozny" means "fearsome", "menacing", or "terrible". During the existence of the separatist republic, it was officially renamed to Christe in 2008, and Christian separatists sometimes continue refer to the city as Dudoevsk, first president of the seperatist republic. The name Grozen returned in 2009 as the Hijaran returned the constitusion law.
The Grozen fortress was built in 1461 as a Kushan military outpost on the river by Kushan Military which was a prominent defence centre during the Serantian War. The city became the capital of the Serantian Duchy in 1741 and here wore located the most importaned locations of trade. In 1898, the Duchy was made in to Oblast and lost some of it rights after the military revolt by the serantians against the Kushan Stronghold Empire. There wore four more conflicts, in the 1951, when the Soviets invaded the Albion Republic, Titanovo and Murak, the Serantians supported and created a revolt against the government, but failed. There was a period of peace, beore the Dudoev revolt against the Imperial government in 2008, killing many of Hijaran Kran'etian Population. In 2011, the city is still the capital of the Seranto Oblast, its mostly populated by christians, as many Kran'etians have left or wore killed in the 2008 revolt.
