The Bowman Rail Yard

The Bowman Rail Yard is the largest rail yard in the New Marseilles Metro Area with 17 tracks. Located in the (Uptown-North) district  of New Marseilles within a 1 mile long stretch from Rt.118 on it's northside to I-210 on it's southside. The rail yard serves as a layover for CSX/NFS/KCS freight trains and cars. It's also a storage yard for rail cars that haul scrap metal, raw materials, wood, and glass between New Marseilles and St. Tamima Parish, which is on the "Northern Shore" of Lake Marseilles. Immediately to the north of the rail yard is an NMRRS commuter station on the Blue Line (North) and a major junction which takes freight trains to the North, east, and west of the city. Airport Blvd. is on the western side of the rail yard and to its east are industrial factories.
