Along with "Google Romance" Google also played another, slightly more subtle joke this April Fools Day, by adding the above image of a flying saucer to the notorious Area 51 in their Google Earth program.

An edited/doctored image I guess. Not as convincing. To make it more convincing, make it blurry or something that can make the layer blend into real life. It'll make a good spoof.

Well, Google has done a quite dodgy job of trying to convince people that aliens exist. See that the alien image is cartoonised: Not a reality in our world. A good gag needs to be of a 3D model or a photo, blurred and blended into the image using Photoshop (or the equivalent). Mind you, I'm quite good to blend an image with the others.
