Yeah that is strange. Yesterday I found Area 51 and the area where they blew up nuclear bombs underground in Nevada. Amazing what you can find with Google Earth.

Okay heres Area 51, (overall view) Some main facilities Close-up Closer overall view (notice Groom Lake and that long testing runway) Looks like the passenger planes that bring employees to Area 51 I would love to get the inside scoop on the developing aircraft at Area 51, But the base keeps an eye on satellites and any that are in range to take photographs will end up not seeing any of their secret stuff (Area 51 hides all their stuff they do not want the public to see before satellites are able to takes pics). ...And to anyone who is interested in the nuclear bomb testing area, here it is, dots everywhere...

Google Earth is really a great program. I remember cruising around on it one day around the coast of Nova Scotia and I happened on a Canadian coast guard helicopter hovering over a fishing boat just offshore. I don't know if it was a rescue, an exercise or a police bust, but it was sure a neat find. I like being able to go over major cities and recognize landmarks.

Ive found some really cool stuff on Google Earth. If you look around LA there are some amazing coloured Salt Pits and if you look in London you can see inside Battersea Power Station.

vid: the camels aren't there when I go to that location. It appears to be some sort of village in the middle of the Sahara, so you might expect to see camels there. However, considering that your eye altitude is 1216 feet, they should be little specks on the image, not huge shadows like that.

Mantis747: My guess is that the "alien" is really just another satelite in a slightly lower orbit that got caught in the picture. The beam below it is interference form some signal that satelite was sending out.

I'm completely at a loss to expain your death star issue, though. How'd you make that happen?
