That's a little something I'm working on making the lot for atm. It also comes in a redbrick version, and another version without the wall just the bridge, much lower.. be good for some parks and over creeks and stuff... I'll keep working on them till I happy that they are the best they can be.

That looks great, frogface. Should be a way to organize and add tilesets to make development of neighborhoods and cities with a specific architectural style easier.

I presume you used the mod that puts all the Maxis buildings in the Chicago tileset and then did a lot of bulldozing to get all the terraced housing to grow together?

This is the Festfield commercial district, it serves the residents of the south part of the city. And as you can see Wal Mart is EVERYWHERE

This area is called Northbay Valley, is where the University stands and also has another train station for better distribution of the travelers.

Just a detail to show the tunnels so the traffic wouldn't be disturbed by the rail tracks since they are really busy ones.

Oh my god, so many beautiful cities, I nearly don't dare show some pictures of my cities
But OK, I don't think my cities are so bad, so here are some pictures

Something smaller I just finished, I tried to build up a more or less medium sized city with a touch of reality. And it's a one-city-region, so there are no neighbor city. Cause of this the city has some typical problems like a bit unemployment and so on. I especially set great store by making the industrial areas...


I love making waterfront parks with marrasts embankment


The convention complex north of the city... a bit ugly

In my opinion the city's masterpiece: the big industrial area with the small port and plenty of railroads

So I don't really know if I reached my aim at building a more or less realistic city. You may can tell me

madawac: wow. that's a really nice city you've got there. looks pretty realistic to me. and you're right about the small port for the industrial district. very nice. out of everything in your pics, the only thing i can say that looks odd is the thing to the right of the globe arena. what is that white thing just above the green office building ? just doesn't look like it belongs. oh yeah, and there might be just a bit too much rail track. otherwise, your city is great. nice realistic looking transportation network (and with smooth roads and highways too !!!) and a really nice mix of residential, commercial, and industrial. and not the usual look at my 1  million skyscapers stuff i see that doesn't look realistic at all (IMO). i'd love to see the rest of your region in a CJ. do you have one ?

Hm, you mean the Congresso Nacional? Hm, yes you're right, it doesn't really fit there, but I just needed something like this.
And cause it's a big industrial city, so I think for my self, the mass of railroads is still ok compared to some real cities
And as I said, it's a one-city-region so you wouldn't see more than just this city in a CJ for this region
But maybe I import the city into another region and built something arround it and making then a CJ

For some reason, I'll show you one of my fav town in my current region, even though it isn't as close to being good like you guys. As you can see, it a hilly poor fishing town, but for some reason I like the look of it.

are those ships made by one of the japanese batters? if they are, i downloaded them(i think there were 3 kinds) as well but they dont show up on any of my menus. are they just props? they were said to show up every 8 hours so i thought they were meant for plopping. thanks for the help.
