I posted this request a long time ago, (like two years,) but I stopped playing SC4 for a while and when I started up again, I came straight back here to re-request!

What I would love to see are boathouses for crew teams, the kind that line the Charles River in Boston, the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, and Lake Washington in Seattle.

There are two ways you could do this:

1. Make a lot that can be placed on game shorelines. Few boathouses actually face the ocean, but some boathouses are on fairly rural stretches of river, like Dartmouth College's boathouse on the Connecticut River.

2. Make a boathouse as an add-on to a surface water pack like Simgoober's BSC Canals. This version would be much more suited to more urban boathouses, like those in Boston.

Also, ideally the lot could contain a building family with a variety of boathouses included in it, so it would be possible to plop them up and down a river without looking too repetetive. Also, (and I'm dreaming here, this is in no way required,) a lot with a randomly-appearing prop of a crew racing shell would make my day!

It's potentially a very complicated project, and I realize this. Still, if anyone wants to try this, I'd be totally willing to help in any way I can, although I'm not very good at batting. If you need reference photos or have questions about how these buildings are made though, I can help you easily. (I'm a rower myself, which is why I'd love to have these in my cities!)

Thanks!

I'd like to see some new overhanging props for tunnel entrances.

Buddybud have made one for his sunken highway walls, but I would like to see more of that.

The original Maxis tunnel entrances are pretty ugly, aren't they?

My requests are as follows:

1. New York City - World Trade Center Towers 3 through 6 (I believe Towers 1, 2 (1 & 2 being the Twin Towers), and 7 are already here at SimTropolis, Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, Giants Stadium, Nassau Coliseum, the New York Stock Exchange Building

2. Boston - Fenway Park, Gillette Stadium, Foxboro Stadium, Boston Garden, etc...

3.Chicago - U.S. Celluar Field, Wrigley Field, Soldier Field, United Center, Chicago Stadium, Toyota Park/Field, maybe the Old Comiskey Park

4. Los Angeles - Dodgers Stadium, STAPLES Center, Great Western Forum, The Coliseum, the Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels stadium (I don't know the name of it)

Maybe some other stadiums, like the different Olympic Stadiums over the years, and so on.

There's a few things which I have found surprising that they do not exist in the STEX (or at least I cannot find them). Most are fairly simple, although a few are a bit more complex.

1) Underbrush and small Bushes. I'd like to create a forest/prairie mix region with dirt footpaths leading between areas, much like the paths seen in the Haalu CJ, but this proves impossible due to the lack of dense forest and plains weeds, bushes, and underbrush.

2) Volcanic Ash. Not surprising that it doesn't exist... but I would love to design an area which is covered in a fresh layer of volcanic ash.

3) Fires, flames, rubble, smouldering areas, and small plumes of smoke as plantable trees

4) More roman structures and tribal structures =D

5) Amway Grand Plaza, Grand Rapids An iconic mid/hi-rise in Grand Rapids. Just a simple google image search of "amway grand plaza" provides great results, many of the west side of the building. The back (east) has no special details to it other than the attached Pantlind Hotel.

Here's a shot from the NW side of the building:

amway128.jpg

6) Calder Plaza in Grand Rapids (Although the one I've never seen before in Chicago looks appealing as well). The 3-storey sculpture at the centre of the plaza was the first city-funded public art project in the US, during the urban renewal age. A google search of "calder plaza" grants good pictures of both the Grand Rapids one (titled "Le Grande Vitesse") and the Chicago one. What's more is the entire plaza and buildings surrounding the plaza were designed with the sculpture, to provide contrast. The surrounding buildings are plain, ugly, curvless structures with little to no colour, designed to contrast and provide a backdrop enhancing the orange-red sculpture designed only with curves at the center. Finding pictures of the plaza as a whole would prove difficult, however. (Best image would be on Google Earth.. and getting ahold of even a glimpse of the side of any building in the plaza provides enough detail to design the whole building, however.) The top of a smaller building in the plaza also has a calder-designed mural on the roof.

vandenburgplaza.jpg

(The Plaza is actually named Vandenburg Plaza, with Le Grande Vitesse being designed by Calder as well as the whole of the plaza, and is more well known under the false name of "Calder Plaza")

le_grande_vitesse128.gif

Le Grande Vitesse (Also I have many photos I took of the plaza in: http://www.tsukigawa.net/categories.php?cat_id=137 Just look for the iconic red sculpture in the pictures. =] Maybe a few of the other pictures may provide inspiration for other buildings as well. =])

I like to much a system of transportation that is used in Bogota Colombia and also in another countrys, was created in curitiba brasil but in Bogota they improved and they adapted  the system, this is the result:

Look its like a metro but with not rails, is on the avenues and with buses.

The bus has a unique way.

To make the perfect city, what I would love is architecture from the Grand Expostions of the past, such as London 1851, Philadelphia 1876, Paris 1889, Chicago 1893, St Louis 1903...

Who wouldn't want a grand recreation of the White City? Here's a few inspirational pix...

I think a few more casinos would do this site (and my city) good. Some themes I'd like to see include:

Space

Archaeology (hope I spelled that right)

Newgrounds.com

Ancient Rome or Greece

Mining

SimCity

Rock and Roll

Also, I would prefer they be custom BAT buildings, and that they not be simple mock-ups of real-life casinos. I like to see people's creativity.

Finally, I think they should provide:

1). Jobs

2). A huge sum of money each month, or

3). Both of the above

Thank you.

Well i think there really needs to be some kind of highway tunnel. Highways take up room on the map and it would be good if they could be a tunnel that can go straight through the city. Maybe air-filtration thingos would be needed? But yeah does anyone know if there are already tunnels? I don't mean the kinds that go under mountains, I want something that u can just put on flat ground, like subway!

I'd like to request buildings from this picture. (It's way bigger that 800*600)

The one right behind "city" and the one with "SoS" on it are the best, but the others are great builtings too.

If its possible id like to have larger ploppable water tiles. I currently have bsc brick canal system and the largest I can plop is 3x3. Can there be an add on that allows for larger coverage, such as 8x8, or 16x16 even. My goal is to use ploppable water for everything, not only canals, and making the ocean is quite time consuming using only 3x3. Thanks!

Greetings, Ladies and Gentlemen!

I would like to revive the idea as suggested in this thread from https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=22&threadid=66832&enterthread=y . Please read the thread. It says all that I am formally making a request. To make the long (historical?) story short, I can only say three words: Los Angeles River. Read it and replies if you wish. Thanks in advance.

Respectfully Yours,

Legion (Chief of Staff)

I can post links to the websites containing photos of Los Angeles River if you want. Just post here asking for it. It can be done. :)

I'd like to request a modular factory/ warehouse pack. Something a long the lines of what Ace did for the terminals. It would be so great if we could make huge factories that were as big as we wanted and in the shapes we wanted. As I see it, we could have one small 1x1 have different sides (door, windows, no windows, garage door) other pieces for office areas, and a couple filler roof tiles with different kinds of junk on them.

Hi,

I am currently working on a hopefully very detailed CJ called Sandusky and I need a sign made for one of my major subdivisions, because BAT nor GMAX will work on my computer.  I have created two pictures of the initial shape and design should be on MS paint:

BAT-Front.jpg

(PS: The brown areas are supposed to be wood)

BAT-Rear.jpg

If anyone can make this, You will definitely have credit on my CJ, or maybe a building or place named after you!  PM me if youre up for it.

Thanks! 40.gif

As I requested months I would love to see some red sandstone tenements that when grown or plopped can be w2w? Tried again at creating my own buildings several times but must admit I just can't do it which makes me appreciate some of the problems created on here!.

If anyone wants to create(which I guess wouldn't take long if you know what your doing) these buildings PM me and I'll send you photo's etc if needed

Thanks
