2. The Pentagon (I havent seen that anywhere).quote>

It is actually on the official Simcity website. It is probably 9 pages from the front page or you could just type in Pentagon.

Somebody should make a civil war fort, like fort sumter, that floats on its own island similar to prepo's Olavinlinna Castle lot. I really wish i could have some old forts off the coast of my "older" cities. By the way, if anyone decides tro try, make sure that the power consumed is 0 so that those ugly power lines don't have to go out into the water.

I don't think WWE has a headquarter building.

Maybe I should search on the net.

I have a request. The Williams Tower in Houston's Uptown District (formerly Transco Tower). It is the tallest building in the U.S. outside of a CBD. I think this would look great in my Downtown, and possibly many people would feel the same.

One of the real problems in SC4 is the unreliable and dangerous nuclear plants.  If I were a better artist, I would take this on myself but I am forced by my lack of artistry to ask for someone to help me out.

We need a CANDU reactor power lot.  I hope this link helps.

CANDU reactors don't blow up nor melt down.  If they fail, the moderator drains out, the reactiion is damped automatically, and, although the reactor is poisoned, the containment protects the environment.  A CANDU can be scrammed in less than one minute.

CANDU's are refuelled on the fly using fuel bundles inserted into the horizontally placed calandria.  Spent fuel spends some time cooling in a pool. of water, then can be shipped to a disposal site or the fuel bundles can be reprocessed for the fission products, and recycled.

The moderator is heavy water.  This means heavy water is shipped to the site, or if ii is ocean side, the heavy water extraction plant can be collocated with the power plant.

As all nuclear power generators, CANDU heats water and converts the steam produced to power using turbine generators.

The fuel for a CANDU is raw U238, unenriched.

Getting a CANDU to start requires enriched fuel bundles, but they are not needed to keep it alight.  One engineer I know says that lighting off a CANDU is like striking a wet match.

RE:

I'd like to request a realistic looking gas station (or two or three). Real ones that we have up in Canada would be even better, like Petro-Canada/Esso/Shell.

Hal, have you checked out Bobbo662's gas stations? Hes got a lot of "retro" stations both US and Canada as well as a collection of "Bankrupt Series" consisting of department stores and grocery stores that makes SC4 cities more realistic and close to reality for sure.   He's got a site too at http://www.thebobbo.com

I would appreciate it if somebody made the Electronic store called Circuit City. There is one on the STEX, but that is like the 90's version. This is a newer version of the store

I'm from Chicago and eager to to have some more buildings from here available. I'd love to make these myself but I have a mac and I am unable to make them for SC4. So I must humbly request that someone from here make them for me. Ive added links with a few pictures of the buildings im talking about. If anyone decides to build these let me know if I can assist you in anyway by taking pictures for example. I live within 10 minutes of all of the items I requested. These are, in my opinion, a few must-mave buildings from Chicago that are not available (to my knowledge) on the STEX. In no particular order Navy Pier - http://www.aviewoncities.com/chicago/navypier.htm Maybe this could be an civic award. Navy Pier is a major tourist attraction to Chicago's lakefront. It features a 150ft Ferris Wheel and a carousel, skating rink/ theater, a children's museum, grand ballroom, gardens, an Imax theater, restaurants, gift shops, and boat tours. McCormick Place - http://www.mccormickplace.com/ McCormick Place is the nation's largest convention center. Situated on Chicago's lakefront it is comprised of 3 large buildings and a 4th is underconstruction. Also there is a Hyatt hotel on the campus and a large plaza. Lakepoint Tower- http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=202061 Would be a perfect $$$ high density res building for any city. Marina City I & II-http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=117110 Another $$$ res. building. The first third of each of the buildings are parking garages. Probably one of the toughest buildings I can think of to model. Much props to the guy that can pull it off. Also has a dock down on the river where residents can park their boats plus a theater between the towers that has been made into a House of Blues. Wrigley Building-http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=117366 Destinctive office building right off the Chicago River. Bathed in bright colored lights at night. Merchandise Mart- http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=116907 Huge commercial building. One of the largest office buildings in the world. So big it has its own zip code! Chase Tower- http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=117332 Sleek office building with a nice 2 level plaza. Thompson Center- http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=117313 Big gov't and commecial office building. Huge atrium inside, food court, post office and subway station complex to name a few features. Harold Washington Library - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=239837 An ornate, huge city library. Field Museum of Natural History - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=235348 A beautiful neo-classical museum on lakefront of Chicago. Part of a museum campus which includes the Adler Planetarium, and Shedd Aquarium. Museum of Science and Industry - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=235346 Another neo-classical styled museum thats on the southside of Chicago. Beautifully situated in Jackson Park with a lagoon in the back of the museum with stairs that lead into the water. The Art Institute of Chicago - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=235347 One of Chicago's most famous landmarks are the scupltures of the lions that guard the entrance to the museum. The Art Institute is comprised of the school and museum on a campus right next to Grant Park. The United Center Would love to have this with the Jordan Statue in front. U.S. Cellular Field - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=228334 I live about a mile from here. If someone makes this you must add the fireworks that shoot off when someone hits a home run as an authentic effect. Wrigley Field - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=228333 I guess I have to add this even though I'm a southsider and a White Sox fan. One of the oldest parks in the majors. If made be sure to add plenty of crime from drunken fans to the effects. Soldier Field - http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=228332 In light of all the names of stadiums and arenas around this country being sold to corporations you have to love that Soldier Field Has maintained its name. 3Com Park? FedEx Field? RCA Dome? Bland. Weak. Colorless. You watch a game played in a place called Soldier Field you can fully expect to see someone left on the ground bleeding. Alas all is not well, for as stadiums go, they made Soldier Field into a hybrid abomination architecturally. maybe some could make the the new version along with the old. I digress. Millenium Park - http://www.millenniumpark.org/artandarchitecture/ A few part of millenium park have made there way onto the STEX namely Pritzker Pavillion and Wrigley Peristyle. There are a few more pieces that would make Millenium park complete. Namely the Cloud Gate sculpture (also known as the Bean), the ice rink/ plaza, the Harris Theater, BP Bridge( a cool pedestrian bridge over a road), and the Crown Fountain ( a cool fountain with two 50ft blocks with video screens of faces facing each other with water flowing out the mouth You have to see it). I'd really love to have the Crown Fountain and Cloud Gate to add to my city above the others.

Hello Everybody

Can someone please make something for me (and everyone else in simtropolis)

Single Rail Overhanging Pieces

Here are some pictures of what i am looking for

explanation7.jpg

explanation4.jpg

It will also need a piece to connect the normal rail to it, possibly 1x1 or 1x2

I am not sure if it is possible, but if it could be transit enabled that would be great

If not that would also be good

I think that it would make a great addition to any rail yard or industrial area

Cheers
