Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone with talent, and proven BAT skill could take on this challenge to reproduce the Trump Toronto Skyscraper into SC4. This building is extremely beautiful and elegant which is why I want someone with lots of BAT skills to design this building (since I'm no good at this kind of stuff).

A picture of the the building is attached and more info can be looked up at:
www.trumptoronto.ca

This thread is useless. Sure it keeps the BAT - Open Discussion forum nice & tidy but how much BATTERS actually look here for inspiration? ZERO!

Before this turns into a huge argument. I don't want ANY BATTERS to take offense from this. I'm just saying that the less skilled members of ST (including me9.gif) will never get their buildings made. I'm mad at the system, not the BATTERS.10.gif

Here is a proposal; First National Tower. I hope someone decides to bat this! It is a 45-storey office tower from First National Bank. It was constructed in 2002. It is the tallest building between Minneaplois and Denver. If no one knows, this building is from the heart of the United States, and lies within the barren state of Nebraska. The city however, is climbing the ranks, and is starting to be nationally known, Omaha. There are other pictures at this link: http://www.eomaha.com/gallery/develop/2/

And if anyone else is interested in seeing Omaha, there is a site dedicated to it at this link, www.eomaha.com

If anyone decides to persue this building, you can go ahead and send me a message or IM me!

I do agree with some of these comments, its annoying to know that this thread rarely gets read. I mean my buildings are needed for my cj, but I doubt they will be made. Maybe one or two if lucky. Come on batters read this thread and get some ideas, even if the buildings are boring.

I for one want a United Nations building. I was suprised to see that there aren't any UN buildings on this site. Since I'm making New York, I would really appreciate it if someone made a United Nations BAT. You can already use the flag props from www.simcity.com for the area outside of the building where all the flags are and I'm sure the rest won't be that hard. Thanks if anyone makes one.

It would be awesome if someone could do the Versailles Landmark that is in France.

That is a pretty famous Landmark and up until now it has not been done.

Here is a link to see a picture of Versailles:

Thank you to all the talented lot creators and building designers. These custom lots add so much variety to my cities. Here are some ideas in case any of you builders are bored and need a challenge:

1) Jack-in-the-Box restaurant (new style)
2) Transco Tower & Waterwall (Houston, Texas)
3) Houston Astrodome
4) Shell Gas Station (need better version)
5) Exxon Gas Station
6) Taco Bell restaurant (saw one, but needs rectangular building, not square)
7) Frost Bank Tower (Austin, Texas)
8) Palmer Auditorium (Austin, Texas)
9) Texas State Capital (Austin, Texas)
10) Hollywood Video store
11) Denny's
12) IHOP
13) Better Krispy Kreme store

That's all I can think of... please let me know if you find/make any of these.

Is it possible to have a continually (harmlessly) erupting volcano in SC4? I'm not necessarily talking about having the actual volcano disaster erupting all the time, but some lots/bats that simulate the eruption effect? Kinda like high-shooting red fountains, with red lava base textures that one can place on top of mountains? Or does anyone have any other ideas?

Would be cool to have a continually erupting Mount Doom in my Middle-earth map!

Hollywood Video, is all over Omaha, NE... and I also know that they are in Ames, IA... which is home of Iowa State University... about 30 miles north of Des Moines. I believe they are national...? I maybe wrong.

Batters, I would love to see some buildings from the midwest... even they are a little short, but they would be great for midrise cities!!! That, and they are realistic looking!

I'd love to see a cruise ship from Royal Caribbean or Princess Cruises.  The Simtanic that's currently on the STEX is excellent, but I prefer a modern cruise liner.

dragondude65 - I refer you to my thread for information on Two Prudential Plaza.

Vid, TGC is working on the Frost Bank Tower, and he recently said he is still BATting, but isn't satisfied, and wants to continue in order to ensure good quality.

(I also plan to start a Home Depot. Not a word outside this thread, guys.)38.gif

Hollywood video is probably midwest only since i have never seen one anywhere but minnesota iowa nebraska south dakota ETC.

I recently started BATing but im not that good at it, i feel more comfortable inventing my own buildings since its easier and you dont have to be as critical of what it looks like. Im not into large buildings yet and my lighting skills need work but in the future i may check here for ideas. (but for now im working on just being able to make a building worth posting.)

I would like to see more of the Italian Villa type buildings, like what Cobb has created thus far. I thoroughly enjoy his designs, and would like to see more of them, only in smaller, more 1 family type dwellings.

I would also like to see

The Olive Garden Restaurant
New England Colonial Styled homes (saltbox, or dutch revival)
Mount Vernon (George Washington's home)
Georgian Colonial homes (with the big 2 story columns. Brick is the theme here)
Bloomingdale's Department Store (NYC famous store)
FAO Schwartz Toy Store (another famous NYC store)
Prarie Style homes (with the wraparound porches, and dormer windows usually 1 & 1/2 stories tall)

This is all that comes to mind right now, but I would like to say, while I love the big tall high rise skyscrapers, there are many large cities that don't have a lot of them, so the shorter, meaning 15 stories or less, buildings are more popular in todays cities. The exception being Hong Kong, and ultra modern cities such as those. I would like to see the smaller buildings available, as they lend a certain charm to the city.

Im sure everyone is very busy with current projects; and there is an endless amount of buildings in real life that could be created. SO let me say Thank You to the people that put these requests into our game, it is absolutley awesome and truly appreciated. here are my two cents:
WHY NOT JUST START WITH THE TALLEST BUILDINGS IN THE WOLRD, you find a list of them anywhere. take the tallest 100 and go for it. many of the newest asian and indonesian towers or magnificant! or maybe the 50 tallest in the U.S excluding those that are just plain boring.

the other thing is one of the finalist from the WTC competition. my personal pick:

An old style Toys R Us

just to name a few, it's for my recreation of Clarksville, commercial everything...

You know, I wonder if it's even possible to make Mt. Rushmore.

Maybe instead of presidents though, it's Will Wright and other co-founders of Sim City.

First of all: for you people making trainstations: u really got to see the buildings by the famous spanish architect Santiago Calatrava: stations, stadiums (2004 Olympics in Athens) and bridges [ http://www.calatrava.com ]. Absolutely gorgeous. I've seen that some designs by calatrava have already made it trough, but there are a lot more magnifecent one's.
I also wonder if it is possible to make custom bridges because calatrava also made alot of beautiful bridges.

Finally, I've seen that stores like carrefour and such are popular these days, and I wonder if someone would like to make an IKEA store.

<<< I just noticed there are already 2 IKEA Store designs in the exchange, but they don't look anything like a REAL IKEA store, you know: big blue flat box with the big yellow letters. >>>

Another nice building is the serpentine pavilion 2002, by Toyo Ito: http://www.serpentinegallery.org/pavillionpress/index.html

Yet another: Zaha Hadid's Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art, Cincinnati. More info: http://www.zaha-hadid.com

And another (thank god for the edit button): Foreign Office Architects' Yokohama Port Terminal. More info: http://www.f-o-a.net

One more: Rem Koolhaas' CCTV building, Bejing. More info: http://www.oma.nl

Thanks alot for hearing my requests, and keep up the great work. 16.gif
