Official BAT Request Thread

I have tried to create BAT buildings but I am not talented enough https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/8.gif> So I have a request. I do not know if anyone has played Final Fantasy 9, but if someone could create the Alexandrian Castle is would be very much appreciated. I could not find any pics, maybe someone else will have better luck.

How about a 'Learnscaper'. It is quite annoying placing loads of schools in a dense skyscraper residential area. Learnscapers could be semi-skyscrapers that are the equivilant of two elementary schools and a high school for example.

Request: Recreation Centers (if possible with in-game benifits such as a low health benifit & help to lower crime).

Various types such as: Public swimming pools (indoor & out)
skating rinks
curling rinks

Request: The Calgary Olympic Oval

Request: Canada Olympic Park (in Calgary of course) - has a ski jump and a bobsled course, this would be good for steep slopes (if possible)

Request: A large outdoor waterslide facility!

Just curious, is anyone going to make the Sears Tower? It might not hold any of the 4 records but it sure 'looks' like the biggest tower of the towers.

Also there are 2 scrapers in Hong Kong which I dont see anyone working on

I haven't seen anyone request this yet, so I will start.

 

The building is the Bellsouth Building in Nashville, TN. It is affectionately known as the Batman building for obvious reasons. It is also the tallest building in TN, standing 617 ft tall.

I go to school in Atlanta, and have visited many other cities like Chicago, Dallas, and Minneapolis. While they all have great buildings, this remains my favorite, I guess because of the home-town connection, and the Batman look is so unique.

 

In case you are wondering, the architects did not intend for it to look like Batman, in fact, it didn't even cross their mind until local Nashvillians had already renamed it! I could not find any night lighting (which is fantastic!) shots online, but if anyone decides to take this on, I can probably get you all the great photos you'd ever want. My dad works for the architecture firm that designed the building, although he didn't work on it himself. Just PM me or something. Thanks!

Ok, I live right next to Philadelphia, PA, and I was wondering if anyone has the skillz (and time) to make the 3 major sports stadiums there: Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park, and The Wachovia Center (4 if you include the recently imploded Veterans Stadium)

Can anyone do this? Well I'm new here, so I'm not sure what ideas have been thrown out yet. But i have some requests. We see a lot commercial skyscrapers. But how about someone building some more industrial? I'd like to see.....

1: Large Sawmill, about 10x10. Around 1500-2200 jobs. Plopable

2: Auto manufacturer building. Like Ford/GM/BMW/etc. (BMW building would look cool). Plopable with a couple thousand jobs also.

3: Various Dirty/Manuf/High Tech buildings (growable and plobable) with 150-1000 jobs or maybe even more. Plants, packaging companies, import/exports, rail yards, trucking companies, etc.

4: Motorsport facilities. IE: short ovals (nascar), drag strips (NHRA), short road courses (F1). The road courses might be unrealistic because of the pure size.

5: A 911 center. A medium response building that holds say 750 patients, has 2 police cars, and 1 fire truck. Something like 3x3, 3x4, or 4x4. Have it cost like $1500 to plop, and a $225 funding bar.

6: Extra large hospital. 4x4 but quite tall. Nothing like a skyscraper. But maybe 50% taller than the current large hospital. 5000-6000 patients or so. Higher cost to place than the current large hospital, and maybe a $300 funding bar. I dont know about you guys, but i hate having so many hospitals scattered so close together in my high populated cities.

I did several searches and could not find anything, so I apologize in advance if this has been asked before.  Now that we know that we can do colored lights in BAT, has anyone considered redoing the Empire State Bldg. with the red,  white, and blue color scheme it is often lit with in real life?

Just one of these building could be done, but you could do all of em if your up for a challenge. Also, dont put any water, boats, or piers on the finished product. It should be called Vivec Canton.

We've had pedestrian bridges but it would be nice to see some bridges for cars. In simcity they lay the roads over each other and sometimes you don't want this to happen so it would be great to have some bridges so we can pass other streets.

I dont know if this is possible, but say you place the prop, raise it to a height, which becomes the maximum height it will go, then it appears maybe once or twice a year, and lowers itself down the length of the building.

I'd like to humbly suggest that this thread cannot possibly serve its purpose. I have to search through 9 pages of this thread just to find out if anyone has requested a post office or a bank, and even on a cable modem, that's going to take me 15 minutes.

I could not find any pics, maybe someone else will have better luck. I would also like to request the Petronas Towers. I know someone already created them, and they did a spectacular job on the towers but left the base unfinished and just inserted props to creat an entrance. If someone could please make these it would be most appreciated.
