I guess not, other than manually changing the system date on december 25th. I mean, it's only one day of the whole year when this easter egg appears, and most likely, you won't play much SimCity on dec. 25th anyway, so it's not really a problem, is it?

well you could skip playing on christmas or set the clock to a different time so that you miss it

The military, seaport and airport zone stuff... is it possible to use them? It makes me think that they were origonally going to do those things the way they did them in sc3k.

Well...no. One of my first big projects as a modder was being part of a time that researched alternate possibilities to create new zones. Of course the final verdict was that it was impossible. The zones actually do exist in game, for the zone type are what controls some parts of the data view as well as the tool tips while hovering over terrain with the query tool, and if you look at the spaceport, airport, seaport, and army base you can sometimes spot differences (like that it says the land is "military" and that they are orange areas)

oh, that's too bad.

Hopefully Maxis will notice all of the work that people do and they'll add in "blank" zones and menus and all that kind of stuff for us to use.

My apologies for bumping an old thread - but (as this thread has been linked to from a newer thread)

What started as a Cheat Code thread appears to have wondered into the wonderful world of "C".

The long list of so called cheat codes that was given in a post above appears to be the "C-language" names of run-time routines that carry out various functions - most of which are tied in (one way or another) to the User Interface.

And the mysterious windows that would function - if only one could find them - are probably provided by the proper version of a "C" Language debbuger / tracer program(s).

Which is a long winded way of saying you appear to be discussing the reverse engineering of the exe which is (at least in theory) strictly prohibited.

i have a question

the buggi extra cheats, which one turns all growables into plopables that i have heard about, or which cheat from that list allows my to place any building i want, and the easiest so a *****ie, like me, won't be confused?!
