    Mini Update

Sorry for the lack of posts lately folks, but my office has been moved TWICE  in the same week  46.gif wich meant a LOT of setbacks and extra work! I hope to come back soon with update 19 probably wednesday. Thanks for your fidelity to this CJ It is GREATLY appreciated  29.gif44.gif

Thanks for the kind words, as for the BFR slope mod (which is another GREAT tool), I'm wondering myself!  47.gif
    dhoppeii,
Don't mention it coach!  nothing's too good for the team! And I'm sure you'll find a nice spot for it. In MT I've even placed another one near a church to use for weddings ceremonies! 16.gif

    Thanks, for the good comments.

Thanks, the palace as cited above is the SC Brasil Competition Museu Paulista, and it is a beauty!  29.gifBig thanks to swi21 44.gif

Please don't be sorry, each of your visit is greatly appreciated, knowing how much you are busy, it takes a lot of dedication doing all you're currently doing! The personal web site is a GREAT IDEA, and I can't wait to visit it. The next city in Anduin Valley to be posted will be Belfalas, (see the two preview pics below). And I'm currently working on Cair Andros, wich will be a kind of ex-hippie place, return to the nature philosophy. And I must say it is VERY hard to do! It is my first try with a more rural look, and the BSC farms EP and now I can more appreciate the work you are doing in Sa Pusa and Son Moix! I'll post part of this answer in your CJ for you to read too. Love what you're doing right now!

So for all Anduin Valley visitors, two pics of what's to come in Belfalas.

So that it for now, Happy Easter to all, 35.gif35.gif35.gif

This CJ keeps on getting better and better. I really like the Cultural Center, in Update 18. Belfalas looks great as well. I like that resort hotel by the waterfall.

Great job as always, keep it up. 10.gif

I hate those random crashes. Happened to me THREE times when working on the revamp of Manukau Central. I'm liking the new header design by the way. Far less intrusive. Very swish indeed. Keep it up.

    Thanks for the link Darmok....

I used to have a bad problem with the game crashing and usually before I got a game save in.  I was really frustrated too.  I am running it on a Pentium 4, 3.0Ghz.  The only draw back is I only have half a gig of RAM. (which will hopefully be updated to 1.5 gig here soon)  Anyway, after the game loads up, I do a ctrl-alt-del and go into the processes list and bump the priority of the game up one notch.  I haven't had a problem since doing this....10.gif

I was just browsing the deep and long forgotten depths of this forum, and guess what? To my knowledge, Andurin Valley was the name of the very first cj ever here! DOes that have anything to do with the name of this journal?

Thanks a lot for your support and all the kind words, bunnies thumbs up and the WOW, thats the kind of things that keep Anduin Valley alive!  44.gif
And welcome to Minas Tirith for the first time posters. (blue names)
    cammo
The crash was due to the Somy japanese high school v1, changed it to v2 and now all is OK. Thanks for the comment about the new header for Belfalas, 48.gif I was looking for something more low profile while still being attractive.
    dhoppeii
Don't mention it for the link. As for the crash see the answer above. But I tried your suggestion, and it does work! 3.gif I was killing some unused processes BEFORE opening SC4, but I didn't think of changing its priority. Thanks! 19.gif

Welcome to Minas Tirith, and about the cul de sac I don't think that I'm using a special mod for them, perhaps its the NAM? I'll look in my plugins folder and keep you informed. 16.gif
    MayorTim
Andurin Valley is the map on which I'm building Anduin Valley, It was created by Wraith, who also had a CJ about it, but I didn't know that it was the first CJ42.gif So in a way they are related, but the title of my CJ is more related to the fact that I've begun one in may 2003, wich was called Building Minas Tirith, which was short lived due to a crashed hard drive, 14.gif couldn't recuperate the save game folder! 45.gif And Jeroni's CJ gave me the kick in the pants to do it all over again! 44.gif Thanks for the info! 44.gif

    And now, Update 19.
    Starring pics from phases 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//ban_s_MTIT_park.jpg align=baseline>

Some new budget has been allowed to finalize the terraforming of the park, and even build a tunnel under the highway.

    Hope you liked it.

Thanks to you too, your regular support is greatly appreciated. 44.gif  The yacht club was inspired by the one in Col de Soller, I tried to integrate one near the hotels. Could have been better I guess but I'm kinda new at that terraforming thing.  5.gif

    And now

Darmok, thanks for the plug.29.gif44.gif  I really appreciate that coming from you.  You know, I still haven't gotten the hang of using those seawalls.28.gif  So many different pieces to use.  10.gif

    don't mention it. It's not really a plug, I'ts my opinion 16.gif

The seawalls; what I've learn so far is this: the more work you do on your terraforming under the seawalls before plopping them, the easier it is after. And the results are so good that it's worth it! 29.gif

I've just finished the search for the double .dat files in my plugi directory, and the count is around 60 of 'em

So whish me luck cause I'm about to fire up OL'SC4 just now

    Take care!

I love the Easter mini-update, reminds me of... SCR, in a good way 19.gif

The terraforming and close shots are extremely good, the only thing that seems to be... that it is semi-griddy, to an extent; or, it is maybe the repetition of buildings. Try to download a few BATs, and learn to love the bulldoze tool, it will pay off... 21.gif

Keep up the good work, I am looking forward to an update!
